    When Will Jesus Punish Finland?

We've all learned that when something is going on in the MSM it is usually meant to divert our attention to something they don't want us to know.

Take for example our boring neighbors in the Great White North - Canada. This time of year in Igloo country the inhabitants have plenty of seal blubber, and in the Northern Provinces they have all bagged an elk, moose, or caribou to live on for the winter. Closer to our border they are eating Poutin and Cornish Pasties waiting for those maple trees to drip sap to make maple syrup to export - the only thing of value the God forsaken coutry has to trade as a cash crop.

It seems that the inhabitants of Ottawa woke up one morning this past week, and only vaguely aware that the geese have already flown south for the winter, heard incessant honking and came out to see that bands of truckers (allegedly 50,000 of them) were descending on their capitol.

Evidently Justin "Black Face" Trudeau hasn't had anything to do other than to pass out Fauci juice, face masks, and lock people up in hotels to combat the Chink flu. The truckers apparently have little to do in the winter either - other that a few loads of avocado toast from Portland for the LIEberals in Ottawa. The truckers are complaining about the Fauci juice and the masks - and you have to be a little sympathetic to their cause, they're just driving out in the vast wilderness in Canada and have no use for any of it.

Meanwhile, PM Justin Trudeau has tested politive for soy and has sequestered himself in some undisclosed location - or as Sir Robin's minstrels would say, "he ran away".

Closer to home is a "podcaster" named Joe Rogan who came down with the Chink flu, took some horse paste, and lived to tell about his "experience". Now Rogan is so popular that only the Super Bowl gets more listeners than him. This has the MSM in a tizzy - calling for taking him down, and accusing him of killing thousands of people with his "mis-information".

That brings us to today's story - Finland is putting the Bible (i.e. The Word of God) on trial. Think of condemning millions of people to an eternity in the Lake of Fire because of "mis-information".

I'm thinking that Putin should invade Finland instead of Ukraine. Finland used to be part of Russia - they just said "no thanks" when the Bolsheviks came along.

Finland puts the Bible on trial
By Arielle Del Turco, Op-ed Contributor - Monday, January 31, 2022

On Jan. 24, Europe's biggest religious freedom case went to trial. A Finnish member of parliament, Päivi Räsänen, has been charged by the Finnish prosecutor general with three counts of "ethnic agitation," a hate speech provision in Finland's criminal code. Each count relates to Räsänen's respectful expression of widely-held Christian beliefs.

The first charge concerns a 2019 tweet in which Räsänen questioned the decision of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland (her own denomination) to partner with Helsinki's gay pride parade; this tweet also featured an image of Romans 1:24-27. Räsänen had moved on and forgotten about this tweet — until she learned that the police were investigating her over it.

On "Washington Watch," Paul Coleman, Räsänen's lawyer from Alliance Defending Freedom International, explained the process: "(Räsänen) was invited to the police station. She was interrogated, asked about her Christian beliefs, asked about what the Bible taught, about what she meant by this tweet, and then in the process of this investigation, they then started digging up many other things that she has said and written over the years. They went back almost two decades. They found a pamphlet that she wrote for her church in 2004. They extracted three minutes of a radio debate, took it out of context and used that. And they compiled all of these things together and then charged her with hate speech."

In addition to the 2019 tweet, Räsänen is also charged over comments she made on the radio in 2019 about homosexuality and over a 2004 booklet articulating her church's teaching on sexuality titled, Male and Female He Created Them: Homosexual Relations Challenge the Christian Concept of Humanity. Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola, who published the booklet, is himself being charged with one count of ethnic agitation. For these acts, Räsänen, a soft-spoken 62-year-old grandmother and trained medical doctor, could end up spending two years in jail.

While the Finnish government had argued the case was not about Räsänen's use of the Bible or about her Christian faith, what took place in the courtroom yesterday told a different story. Coleman said, "The prosecutor began the day by stating that this wasn't a case about Christianity. This wasn't a case about the Bible. This wasn't a case about her beliefs and then immediately started to make it all about the Bible, all about her beliefs, all about Christianity; and I'm not kidding, began the day by reading passages of scripture, reading Old Testament verses." From his vantage point, Coleman said, "There is no question that as you sat in the courtroom today and watched this case unfold, what was on trial is really biblical teaching itself."

The case has drawn international scrutiny. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and four other Republican senators sent a letter this week to the Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, Rashad Hussain, urging him to raise concerns about Räsänen and Bishop Pohjola's cases with the Finnish government. The senators wrote, "We are greatly concerned that the use of Finnish law is tantamount to a secular blasphemy law. It could open the door for prosecution of other devout Christians, Muslims, Jews and adherents of other faiths for publicly stating their religious beliefs that may conflict with secular trends."

In Finland, the ability for Christians to speak biblical truth is on the line due to an overly broad hate speech provision in Finnish law. Yet, the Finnish government, like all governments, is incompetent to rule on "hate speech" because they cannot know or regulate what is in the human heart. That's on full display here. Governments should not be in the business of determining which religious beliefs are considered offensive, or even criminal.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) joined "Washington Watch" to explain why he believes people around the world should defend Räsänen and Bishop Pohjola. He said, "We have a duty to stand up for religious liberty and stand up for people to be able to speak the truth around the world. Whether it was that young man in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square, or whether it's these two individuals in particular facing this absurd prosecution in Finland for daring just to speak their faith, the truth of man and woman and their belief about marriage."

For Räsänen, this case is far bigger than herself. It's about the defense of basic human rights, for the Finnish people and people everywhere. She has stated, "I cannot accept that voicing religious beliefs could mean imprisonment. I will defend my right to confess my faith, so that no one else would be deprived of their right to freedom of religion and speech."

Päivi Räsänen is not a firebrand. She wasn't looking to cause a stir, and she didn't want this fight; the Finnish prosecutor general targeted her. Since then, Räsänen has taken up the role of a gracious advocate for free speech, including the expression of sincerely-held religious beliefs now considered culturally taboo in the West. Please pray for Räsänen and Bishop Pohjola as they await the court's ruling, that the court will ultimately side with freedom of religion and speech.

    And we can't have those.

Religious ones are fine, tho, apparently. Obligatory*, even; because God's feelings are just soooo fragile.

oh wait no it's His followers

Re: When Will Jesus Punish Finland?

I've been under the impression that Jesus has already punished Finland in many imaginative ways, and my opinion and now re-enforced after learning about this debacle. While it is worthy of our prayers that Finland still has some people who defend our right to follow the advice of 1 Kings 15:12, it is sad that only a woman opposing 1 Timothy 2:12 has the guts to defend the local men's lowest and vilest part of the gut against sodomites.

Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

Anyhow, Finland could easily become a cuntry worthy of Jesus if only three minor things were amended. The three things that need changing are the climate, inhabitants and geographical location. With that fixup, it could become a nice, Godly dwelling-place.

      Yours in Christ,

Just to illustrate how far from Biblical teaching Finland has strayed, we read in Wikipedia it is among the most heathen and homer countries. Homers are happier in Finland than they are in most any country in the world.

It would not surprise me if, in this court where the Bible is on trial, the Bible were convicted and sent to jail. All of Finland will spend eternity in hell.

Of course you are correct, Sister Joanna. Climate wise, things will be very different for the Finnsters between this world and the next. I was speaking metaphorically to suggest that--emotionally at least-- Finland already represents unending sorrow and misery.

Therefore, the transition from the agony of life in God-forsaken Finland to the eternal horror of God-damned Hell will barely register with the already dead inside residents. In other words, if Jesus wanted to fashion a cold version of Hell, (perhaps to provide a little variety in His creative endeavors?) then He could easily look to that corner of the world as a template.

Honestly, it's not surprising that there is so little in the way of joyful, Christian presence there. The people who settled that place undoubtedly had such low expectations and standards that they probably can't imagine a better way of life. God only knows what they do with their time in such a depressing place. It probably explains why they are so into butt-sex.

Why are we sending troops to the rebellious Russian province of Ukraine when CLEARLY we need to be amassing our forces for an invasion of Finland? They have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are a dangerous rogue state and a threat to our national security. Will we stand by and do nothing while the barbaric Finns run roughshod over the Bible? Surely no single legal action has been so overtly blasphemous since the Jews called for the execution of God Himself.
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
                        Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

                          Brother Dennis,

If your suggestion concerned any normal cuntry with normal people, I'd wholeheartedly support your Godly suggestion and support Mr. Putin in His endeavor to invade the Finished sodomite swarm. However, even if highly skilled and mostly Bible-believing, the Russian armed forces mostly consist of Russian Orthodox people, a sort of soft-core spin-off the regular Papism. While underage sodomy is much less prevalent among the Orthodox compared to papal Papism, I would not trust the otherwise Caucasian meat-eating heterosexual soldiers when they come face to face with the Finished and the Swiss. Imagine this: a naked sauna-obsessed blond blue-eyed muscular youth offers himself for the Russian troops to ravish! Who would not succumb to such succubi? Only Baptist soldiers could bare that burden. The Sodomistic plague is highly contagious by aerosolic demons. This will lead to AIDS as depicted by the Prophet.

                          Zechariah 14:12
And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Nukes are always a viable option in these cases.
