    Southern Baptists decide against pedophilia database

    Facing calls to curb child sex abuse within its churches, in June the Southern Baptist Convention — the largest U.S. religious body after the Catholic Church — urged local hiring committees to conduct federal background checks but rejected a proposal to create a central database of staff and clergy who have been either convicted of or indicted on charges of molesting minors. The SBC decided against such a database in part because its principle of local autonomy means it cannot compel individual churches to report any information. And while the headlines regarding churches and pedophilia remain largely focused on Catholic parishes, the lack of hierarchical structure and systematized record-keeping in most Protestant churches makes it harder not only for church leaders to impose standards, but for interested parties to track allegations of abuse.

    This should be an interesting discussion.

    Well that's the SBC for you. We broke off with them years ago. They coddle queers.

    Are you trying to start trouble, boy? Because God hates those who sew seeds of dissent.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

    Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

      Re: Baptists decide against database

      I have just done a search on our Godly LBC database to check our situation.

      Code:

      SELECT * FROM TRUECHRISTIANS TC
      WHERE
      TC.SEXOFFENDER = 'Y'
      OR
      TC.CHILDMOLESTER = 'Y'
      ORDER BY
      TC.NAME, TC.FIRSTNAME

      Result :  0 rows affected.
      Case closed I'd say.
      Psalm 81:10:
      I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
      open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

        I say the only database we need is a list of all the little harlots and twinks that have been dressing immodestly and seducing all those innocent clergymen.

        With photos. And addresses.

          How difficult is it to impose a standard of, "Thou shalt not rape children"?

          The SBC is a bunch of hypocrites and perverts.

          And bedtimes.

          We need to make sure they are safely tucked in at bedtime, not out running about where perverts and atheists lurk.

            Maybe so.

            We broke off with them years ago.
            Did you break off of them because of their gay agenda?

            Are you trying to start trouble, boy?
            No. I'm just trying to get to the truth of the matter. That also means that I'm a truth seeker in Faith as well.

              Landover and other Independent Fundamentalist Baptists (like my church in North Salem, IN) broke with the SBC years ago over alcohol. They declared consuming alcohol of any amount to be a sin . . . Jesus turned water into wine and drank it Himself, for Heaven's sake! That's tantamount to calling Jesus a sinner!

              The gay agenda of the SBC came to light long after.

                I agree with you. It is not a sin to consume alcohol. Just getting drunk is a sin.

                  So is getting an altar-boy drunk a sin, or do you have to shtupp him as well?

                  2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

                    Yes, it is a sin. What does the word "shtupp" mean? Thanks

                        Maybe but would you say that we are all responsible for the death of Our Savior since He died for our sins and we are all sinners?
