  • Christian Yoga!?

Well, it seems that satan never rests. HERE is a story of perversion and God-mockery. A story of false Christians being lulled down the path toward eternal damnation....

The Hindu practice of yoga - spiritual meditation through physical exercise - is booming. But not everyone finds it spiritually compatible - some Christians have long resisted the tradition with its overtones of mysticism. In Mobile, Alabama, Susan Bordenkircher was one of those people until the exercise teacher and United Methodist took her first yoga class and fell in love with the practice. Since then, she overcame her theological conflicts and produced two videos about Christian yoga.

Bordenkircher disagreed with the emphasis on finding divinity in oneself and achieving a higher level of spirituality by oneself espoused in some yoga classes. She says that's God's doing. However, Bordenkircher says the movement and rhythm of hatha (physical) yoga made her more centered and reflective and more able to pray. Hindus strive for wisdom, knowledge and inner concentration, which clearly overlap with Christian goals, Bordenkircher says. "My feeling was it's worked for them, why shouldn't we be able to do that?" she says. So Bordenkircher combined poses with Christian references. During the warrior pose, she talks about breathing in the Holy Spirit. She relates the child's pose to being at peace with God. And the balance poses are about finding spiritual balance. "If it feels good for your body and soul, you should do it."

Dr. K.L. Seshagiri Rao, editor of the "Encyclopedia of Hinduism," says some Christians think doing yoga will turn them into Hindus or fear yoga will cause them to question their religious beliefs. Rao says yoga means "joining" or "yoking" ・whether it is the body to the mind, the individual to the universe or the soul to God. Aspects of yoga, like breathing control, also help people control impulses like rage, revenge and lust. Such control enables them to become better people. "The more Christians practice yoga, the better for all concerned," Rao says. Yoga can be beneficial to everyone, no matter what religion they are, he says. "Call it whatever you want," says Rao. "Let us leave it in the hands of God."
However, there IS a voice of Christian reason involved....
But Dr. Russell Bush, academic vice president at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, says Christian yoga is a superficial connection and a form of syncretism, or the combination of two different beliefs. If such trends continue Christianity will lose its distinguishing features, he says, and millions more will find themselves in hellfire. Yoga is incompatible with Christianity because it means attaining a meditative state, which empties the mind, whereas Christian prayer is a conscious interchange with God, he says. Furthermore, yoga is intended for people to transcend the world around them, whereas Christians are supposed to be present in the world and not ignore it, Bush says.

He is adamantly against people learning about other religions, and does believe yoga is an evil practice. Bush cautions against doing yoga in case participants get heavily involved and leave Christianity behind. "People tend to shift in their own thinking depending on who they're around. That's why we say Christians should just go to church and be around other Christians," Bush says.
Thank Jesus for brave Baptists like Dr. Bush! Someone needs to steer these empty-headed females and false Christians away from the worship of cows.

Next they'll suggest we Christians try cannibalism, the better to "understand" the witch doctors in the cesspools of africa.

Kids! Don't bend your bodies in ways that Jesus never intended, unless you want to find yourself on satan's Olympic team!
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

    Re: Christian Yoga!?

It is impossible to understand why anyone would wish to emulate any aspect of a cultural tradition which has produced so disease ridden and syphilitic, malnourished, intercopulating, stinking, charlatan inundated cesspit as India where the acme of high society seems to be the maiming of one's own babies the better to exploit their enduring agony as beggars. The state of the poor addled fools who went there in the 1960's exemplify what is meant by a blasted life (except for the ones who repatriated the demonic charlatan "guru" worshipping cults which abound there, fuelled by sex, AIDS, heroin & temple goddess/prostitutes, cholera, spite & deception to pad out their own bank balances) who upon their return home — if they ever made it back — spiralled down the putrid helter-skelter of drug addiction, impetigo, lice and in many cases failed suicide attempts which have left them brain damaged, rotten and in the gutter. And demon possessed. First it's just scabies: "oh, everyone in India has them ..my guru says [we don't want to hear what the guru said] ..blah ..blah ..satsang ..blah" but before they know it they're in HELL FOREVER

Oh, they would know wouldn't they.. ..

The Bible is quite clear on this, and there are so many references, but I will just post:

    GALATIANS 1
    8
But though we, or an Angel from heauen, preach any other Gospel vnto you, then that which wee haue preached vnto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now againe, If any man preach any other Gospel vnto you, then that yee haue receiued, let him be accursed.
10 For doe I now perswade men, or God? or doe I seeke to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not bee the seruant of Christ.

But even if some wretch had been brought up to hate God - a Unitarian, say - could they not see the blighted condition of the subcontinent? The natives so desperate to leave? The ox urine and nits? The prolapsed colons irrigated in the sewer of the Ganges? The monstrous crematorium on its banks (to dispose of the carcasses of idiots who had bathed in it for "healing")? And still wish to replicate that filth?

    It boggles my head.

Not to mention Karate! Chuck Norris is surely damned to Hell!
      Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
