Agatha (my sister) called me this morning, all a-flutter about something. I wondered if she had scraped Daddy's 1952 Packard at the Piggly Wiggly parking lot, but that wasn't the reason. Aggie said she was excited because she had just read some thrilling news about a fighter named Bryce Mitchell. Apparently, Mr. Mitchell is one of those "mixed martial artist" types, whatever that means. Anyway, the thrilling bit is this: Mr. Mitchell has taken a professional stand against Satan, and he is determined to fight the devil — and to beat him!
For one thing, whenever Mr. Mitchell enters a boxing ring, he holds high a copy of the glorious
. Not only is this a testimony about Mr. Bryce's faith in the 
, but it also serves to give notice to Satan that his days are numbered!
Ephesians 6:12-16:
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of
, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
It is one thing to make this declaration in a public sports arena, but even more thrilling is that Mr. Mitchell is home-schooling his children, so that they will not turn out to be homersexualistic communists!
What a remarkable, brave, young man is Mr. Mitchell. I so hope you will join me in prayer for this dear, courageous man, for continued blessings from the, as he continues with his determined fight to defeat the devil!
