Evil scientist, probably under the control of Satan, invents robots to assault people! What next? Will he be inventing robot rapists?? Robot Pedophiles? Robot queers?
Scientists are evil, and will stop at nothing in their assault of our religion! Cloning sheep, building violent 'droids' and creating spastic children is just the beginning! I can see things only getting worse unless our mighty President, George W, starts making laws to put freaks like this in the nut-houses they belong!
Robot designed to punch its creator
A robot has been built that regularly punches its creator in the head and body.
Engineer Sami Haddadin is not into mechanised masochism. He is trying to develop robots that know if they have hurt someone.
The project has echoes of sci-fi writer Isaac Asimov's first law of robotics, a commandment designed to prevent robots turning on their masters.
Mr Haddadin, from the German Aerospace Centre Space Agency in Oberpfaffenhofen, is worried about the risks of humans and robots working ever more closely together.
"Accidents happen," he told New Scientist magazine. "We have to accept that when people start to work more closely with robots, they will sometimes hit people."
Fitted with a large pad - the robot version of a boxing glove - the arm was then put to the test. Mr Haddadin allowed it to punch him in the stomach, chest, head and arm forehead and arm at speeds of up to 2.5 metres per second.
