    Another Christian persecuted

The Liberals will persecute this poor guy for his beliefs for sure.

Stephen W. Cooper, who is 50, told Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office investigators that he used a wooden dowel rod to punish the child, in accordance with the Bible.

Okay, so the kid had bruises indicating "deep tissue damage". Clearly the authorities chose to ignore the fact that the skin was not broken. How can you damage something deep inside without hurting anything on the outside?

Handmaiden, he was damaged on the inside before his father administered Godly discipline. Prov 22:15: "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him."

His father does him a favor and guides him out of love. Prov 13:24: "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes (diligently)." Hebrews 12:6-7: "...the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?"

Here's a decent site with a better explanation than I could give. http://www.baptistmom.com/discipline.html

It warms my heart to imagine this dad in his Christian home, dedicated to the well being of his son's soul, the boy's cast-down eyes as he obeys his father's order to unbuckle his pants and lower his underwear (I imagine them with a cartoon on them, like Bugs Bunny), he bends over daddy's knee exposing his little white butt and his dad, filled with the Holy Spirit, taking the dowel rod to him until the Devil in him is gone and his heart is pure again.

You see, there might be some residual signs of [I]physical[I] punishment, but inside the boy is much, much better off than he was before. But secular authorities ignore this because they ignore God and therefore ignore the boy's spiritual health, focusing solely on his "bruises."
"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).

God determines what is right, not you.
