I always worry when I read about church-based organizations going into areas where there has been a natural disastor. I'm afraid they will hand out money.
We know disastors happen because God is punishing people. I don't get the point of giving money to people who's houses have been destroyed because they were doing something disapproved of by God.
The right approach is to conduct prayer services and preach the gospel. That's what Franklin Graham does--no money, just some good old fashion stomp-on-sin preaching. People stop feeling sorry for themselves and are not tempted to go on welfare.
