Hey pal, guess what: I've actually been to Dachau (an alleged "death camp" in Bavaria). Here's the dirty little secret about that place: supposedly it was destroyed by the Germans, so it was rebuilt just to show how bad they are.

These "sikhs" have regular "community meals" where they try to "reach out" to the neighborhood.

In other words, they are trying to convince Christians that their lives would be better if they wore turbans, had long beards, and carried big knives.

God commands us to execute those who would turn us from Him, as the Midianites did in Numbers 31.

I am a Sikh, and Sikhs do not forcefully convert anyone. In our prayer from our holy book (Guru Granth Sahib) it states "to use force is tyranny" because God is within everyone. We preach that it is wrong to label people "bad". In our prayer it states, "From the One Light, the entire universe welled up. So who is good, and who is bad?". To call anyone a demon is to call God a demon. We believe that we must have 100% compassion for every living creature. This why we are vegetarians.

Sikhs believe in freedom for everyone. This means everyone should be allowed to practice their own faith and follow their own ways. We are happy to live amongst athiests, homosexuals, jews, christians, muslims, hindus, buddhists and so on.

If you have hatred it means you are far away from God. Sikhism teaches us that God has an impartial eye. He sees everyone equally. The more love we have for everyone to closer we are to God. The more pure qualities/virtues we possess of Compassion, Selflessness, Love, Peace, Contentment etc, the more closer God will allow us to move towards him.

I like the idea of langar, i have been to shelters, where the church feed you but to get the food you are forced to listen to them preach at you, they literally hold you hostagemaybe these christian groups can learn for you

you literally walk in, show your respects to our holy book (if you wish), in no way are you agreeing with what is in that book, but you show your respect anyway. then walk into a seperate room, get a steel tray, lentils, vegetable stir fry (potatoes, peppers, carrots etc etc usually) yoghurt, and some sort of sweet dish is served no matter what time of day. You then sit on the floor and eat, and can walk straight out ... no questions asked ! ...

In our area, some of the polish people who have immigrated to the UK, are poor, have lost work due to the fact they need building licences, come EVERY night, to eat. In now way are they on the path to conversion, and they guys at the temple often help them to apply for job permits (construction).

In some of the bigger temples, rooms are availible for those who ned shelter for the night ... again, no questions asked, come and go as you please, as long as you respect the temple!

in respect to my above comment :
when i say show respect the the holy book, i dont mean agree what is being said.

For example, back in the day when visiting the church (for school purposes), i used to pick bibles up of the floor that had fallen of the seats, out of pure respect, not because i believed what was being taught.
