I was shocking to read that Jerry Falwell's Liberty University has stopped requiring men and women to dress in professional business attire for every class, every day.

Now, even women can wear the sexy flip flops seen on harlots around the world. I don't see how Liberty can now be seen as a Christian university standing for Baptist principles. Instead, it has become part of the academic liberal elite, marching with the culture in ways that are condemed here at Landover Baptist.

It's interesting to note the consequences of such liberal dress-code.

By the time the class that entered wearing flip-flops began their senior year in 2008, while still a largely conservative student population, enough Obama supporters were among the students to lend a palpable tension as results rolled in at the campus election night party—and an air of victory when the election was called for their candidate.

It doesn't surprise me. Falwell was always a little to left leaning for my tastes.

I used to drive the extra ten miles to Lynchburg because of the decency displayed in town. I might as well go to Charlottesville and deal with all the hippies and 'feel gooders'.

Ever since Flynn Vs. Falwell, the downfall of the backbone of country Christianty began.

Somebody there probably got a hold of I Samuel 16:7, "man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart," and took it just a little too far. You'd think people at a Bible college would know better.

It's so predictable. Once morals start slipping in one area, they cascade into the abyss in another.

We all had hopes Jerry Falwell Jr. would carry on the tradition of his father at the Godly Liberty University. Students were forced to dress as if they were going to work in a bank.

But, Jr. liked to see his female student parading around tempting men to sin as Eve did to Adam. They have been wearing sexy flip flops for some years.

Now we learn Jr. himself likes life in the fast lane, visiting night clubs and using profanity. Unfortunately, Liberty has fallen to sin as have so many other universities.
