KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Nov 18, 2006 (AP)— An Anderson County teenager has filed a lawsuit over her temporary dismissal from a weightlifting class by a principal who feared male students might try to rape her.

Anderson County High School has asked a federal magistrate to dismiss the $1 million sex discrimination suit by student Ambrea Phillips and her father.

"There's no dispute she was removed," school attorney Arthur F. Knight said at a hearing Thursday. He contended Phillips was reinstated within days and suffered "no academic detriment whatsoever."

Phillips' attorney, Roger L. Ridenour, said stress from the incident caused the student to become physically ill. He said the handling of the situation by then-principal Bob McCracken is part of a pattern of mishandled sex issues at the high school.

McCracken said in a deposition that he was afraid Phillips might be sexually assaulted in the class.

"Having a female with 35 or so male students in an isolated area from the school, it sets a very liable situation in my opinion," McCracken said in the deposition.

"She is up there with a bunch of football players, a 24- to 25-year-old coach, the only girl there is a safety issue there. It was a hard call for the principal to make," Knight answered.

If she wasn't looking for it like a little tramp, she wouldn't have to worry about this kind of problem.

What I don't understand is why her father expects payment when no rape occurred. That is very much against what the Word of God teaches us.

If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. -- Deuteronomy 22:28-29

God is very clear on this point. since no man hath lay with her, then no shekels are to change hands. Case dismissed by Judge Jesus!

While I'm at it, I may as well point out that if I were to live my entire life in a kitchen, I'd no doubt burn the place down every week and kill everybody with my awful, horrid cooking abilities. If that girl wants to be a weightlifter, there is nothing to stop her from doing so. If the school was so afraid that their MALE students couldn't control themselves, they could have organised a female weight lifting coach, of another female teacher to accompany the girl to her classes. To me it looks like the school covering the failings of the student body - ie. the male weightlifters who couldn't keep their minds on the sport they're training for

Equestrian is played without gender based events, as is evey horse event. Male and female jockeys compete on equal footing, though there are few females who choose that particular path.

Also, if getting changed in changing rooms with people of the same gender is too much for frail minded people, why is it that every man on the planet is not homosexual, or at least bisexual, as football players, soccer and various other sports where men race around showing off their apparent ability all has them changing and showering together. Yet that is alright for them why? Yes, equestrian is played without gendar based events because it is the skill of the horse that matters not so much the rider. Woman riders, being smaller and lighter than men, make it easier on the horse, but still don't win that often.

Oh, yes, women have shown a lot of grace over the centuries in attempting to get the vote and equal rights. The suffragettes were very graceful and so were the feminists.

And yes, men can cope with undressing and showering together in a way that weak-minded women cannot. Women cannot interact with each other without hugging, and caressing and fixing each others clothes. We all know where it leads. Leazbeanism Pervie, to lezbeanism.
