Of course True Christian™ believers know that "Mother Nature" is not the adversary, God is! Praise Jesus!
To organize a call to arms against such a character is an exercise in futility because she does not exist. If a man wages a war against a nonexistent enemy, can the people of California really trust him to govern?
The Holy Bible tells us that too little rain or too much rain is a sign of judgment. The Bible also says rain falling in its seasons is a blessing. (Job 37:13) We must realize that God is the only option if rain is what is needed. Water conservation will not help. New and innovative water recycling programs will not help. Relying on man-made solutions lead to arrogance and a false sense of power. No law or technological device can make rain. God alone is the rainmaker.
God is not a God to be ignored or mocked. Pretending He is a mythological old lady with weeds in her hair and squirrels running around her feet will win no favors for the state. Nor can He be rushed, as we saw when Governor Perry of Texas led a state-wide prayer to Almighty God for rain in 2011. We saw the drought in Texas continue to worsen for following the Days of Prayer. While only 15-17% of the state was undergoing exceptional drought by late April, the percentage grew to 50% a month later, and by late June, more than 70% of the state was experiencing exceptional drought conditions, a level at which it persisted until August 18, 2011. Texans waited in prayerful anticipation until October 9, 2011, when the first major rains fell. How much worse will it be for a state that not only ignores God, they openly defy His Divine Mandates (Queen Latifa makes a mockery of marriage during the Grammy's).
California! What are you waiting for? Do you want the LORD to make you eat your own babies?!? Now is the time to repent!
