    Skip the Farmer's Market, a Pagan Throwback.

    This afternoon I had coffee at the Freehold Senior Citizen Center. A nice lady came up and asked, "Mayor, Des Moines has 40,000 people at its Farmers Market. Why don't we have one here in Freehold?"

    The question tested my patience. I tried not to sound annoyed that she and so many others do not understand the link between these popular Farmers' Markets and paganism.

    Gathering for pagan ceremonies and selling farm produce started after Jesus founded Christianity. Pagans have been trying to compete with Christians ever since. Farmers Markets have one purpose, worshipping the land and the vegetables. Close to this practice of selling vegetables is that of homerism.

    Christianity has it own system for producing and distribution food. It is capitalism. Food is produced on large corporate farms with irrigation, fertilizers and pesticides. We buy the food in huge happy supermarkets.

    I hope I explained properly to the nice lady why we will not have a Farmers Market in Freehold and why I hope Freehold residents are not among the 40,000 in downtown Des Moines celebrating paganism.

    Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

    I have seen a lot of such markets when I lived in Africa. That's one of the reasons I don't eat vegetables at all; to me, they're a symbol of paganism.

      My Husband doesn't eat many vegetables, but whenever we need baked potatoes to go with the steakss we get them from the regular grocery store. I would never serve my Husband vegetables someone just grew in their own dirt. That's disgusting.

        It's not only in Africa where the pagans and the zombies live, it's in your "Catholic" countries like Mexico. The Catholics came there and saw the pagans in the town square on Sunday selling vegetables.

        So, the put a big high Catholic church in the middle of the square and called the town Christian. Pagan worship went right on like they always had.

          I rebuke farmer's markets and organic foods in the name of !

          I can just see the wiccans and warlocks dancing around the crops trying to conjure up Mother Nature and goodness knows what else.

            And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

            - Genesis 1:29
            All this fresh vegetable and farmers market stuff goes back to Adam and Eve frolicking in the Garden of Eden picking fruit and eating nuts. About the only "work" God gave them to do was naming the animals. We all know what happened with that deal - the Sin of Eve. God kicked us out of the Garden of Eden and forbade us from returning. Just look at where all this fresh fruit and vegetable stuff is coming from - women.

            Look at what Jesus had at the Last Supper - bread. There was no "bread" in the Garden of Eden, and in today's context I don't think Jesus would mind us slapping a quarter pound of charcoal broiled rare beef patty on that bread for a fine meal.
            Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
            brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
