Sometimes I think the world will catch up with us here in Freehold. Our public schools have had mandatory courses in the Bible for a century. Students graduate knowing their only path in life will be Baptist.
Now a legislator in Iowa has proposed doing in all Iowa public schools what we do here in Freehold, teach the Bible. The legislator says, "Today, we are raising generations of children ignorant of the original core of American values...these...values did not spring from a cornucopia of world religions.."
Our elementary and high school teachers in Freehold make this very clear. Other religions do not condemn homerism like the Bible does. Naming homerism as a sin is a universal value here in America. If children are not taught this in public school, they may never know about this great sin.
