One of the preachers in the Des Moines Ministerial Association called me with the news one of our oldest competitors has thrown in the towel. 1st Presbyterian was founded in 1848. We were founded in 1701.

Of course people will ask how Landover Baptist can remain so successful while this white main-line church nearby has fallen. It goes back to sin.

The national Presbyterian Church approved homer weddings a while back. True Christians™ left. That is it in a nut shell. God punishes those who chose to sin.

Slowly the field of competition in this area is clearing out. One day Landover Baptist will call the shots for this metro region, then Iowa and finally the nation. We are coming to your town.

Well goodness me, isn't life tragic for organisations who choose Sin over the love of Jesus! Pardon me if I sound harsh, but if they choose to cherry-pick the Word of God, they will reap only the indigestible stones.

In addition to adopting homer sin, that "church" is one of those "modernist" types with no spire or cross. A developer could make quick use of it by turning it into a bowling alley.

Yes, dear Brother Bryan, and let us hope that the developer will get to that property very, very quickly. I have read that the devil's servants (fake pastors, false prophets) are buying up bowling alleys to turn into imitation churches!

I was once invited to a Presbyterian church in godless Florida, near Kissimee. It was just a short walk from my hotel and the young man who invited me was worth pursuing. (As a soldier of Christ)

The building couldn’t have been more than 3000 square feet. It had no steeple, and the cross was on its side instead of fully erect. I couldn’t bring myself to enter. I felt snobbish but I believe the LORD was pleased.

It's hard to believe 50 years have passed and only now punishment for the great sin of Presbyterians has arrived. Back in 1970 the national Presbyterian Church gave $10,000 to the legal defense fund of Angela Davis. Davis was a negro and avowed Communist. To make matters worse, she was acquitted and spent decades as a professor and author. She should have been tossed in jail and the key thrown away.

These days, Jesus makes certain a few Presbyterian churches close every year. From His point of view it's good riddance.

Presbyterian Church of America was down by 50,000 members in 2021. I think Presbyterians sense the coming wrath of God and are taking cover.
