I'll be over at the town of Adair, Iowa, about two hours west of Freehold, for the next couple of days. My friend over there, Chief Bradley Wendt, is in trouble and needs my help.
I would have thought his Mayor, Joanne Byers, would have defended him. But it seems there is no one coming to his aid but me.
The problem is Chief Wendt has a really successful gun business in Adair. With the internet he has customers all over the world.
When he got to be police chief, he noticed right away the Police Department had no rapid-fire machine guns. If gangsters wanted to attack Adair, there was no way to lay down a blanket of bullets to back them off. Adair has 800 people and is defended by only one full time officer, the Chief, and one part time officer. When the attack comes it needs fire power to defend itself.
Having his own gun business, the Chief knows a bargain when he sees it. The feds have a program to help little cities buy weapons. He applied and received his first rapid-fire machine gun. Then he got another, eventually ten of them. Since Adair only needed one, he bought the other nine for the low government price and sold them through his gun business for a nice profit. That is simply capitalism. But now the Feds are claiming he "unjustly enriched" himself. It's Biden pushing little people around. Without some help he may be headed for jail.
