Huge JESUS Sign Coming Near Freehold

Johnston is a small city near Freehold. Eternity Church calls itself "conservative." It bought a huge empty theater complex there and will convert it into a church. Part of its plan is to erect a huge sign, 40 feet high, that says simply, JESUS. They think the sign can be seen from the interstate and will bring people in.

The question for me was whether I should block permission for this sign. Obviously, Jesus does not care about this church and would prefer the sign idea be dropped.

I decided not to stop the sign because Landover Baptist wants trashy people, many races and ethnic back grounds, driving on the interstate to find some church other than LBC. Eternity Church in Johnston is going to find interstate visitors not putting money in the collection plate but taking money FROM it.

Sir, I think this is a matter for the President of the United States of America to weigh in on.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

I agree the President's view on this and on any other matter is the one that must prevail. It's worth pointing out, I believe, that the President never attends a church filled with trashy people. IMHO the citizens of Freehold should not either.

Amen, dear Brother Mayor Hold! Let those degenerates go elsewhere — anywhere other than our , . If we were to have them here, the first bit of disruption that they would cause is to park their rust-bucket cars in the Platinum Tithers section of the church parking lot!

We do have our standards to maintain, and Goodness knows that this is noted very well on our church banner — for all to see!
