Iowa man accused of smearing feces on building

ELGIN, Iowa – A man faces criminal mischief charges after he allegedly defecated on a downtown Elgin sidewalk and smeared feces on the door of a building. Authorities said the building houses the Valley Community Coalition. Officials believe the man targeted the organization, but they aren't sure why.

Matthew J. Sodoma, 21, was arrested early Thursday and was also charged with defecating on a public sidewalk or building

Fayette County Sheriff Marty Fisher said the man's action defies the basic morals of the community and was unacceptable.

Authorities said the charges are misdemeanors and are punishable by a fine between $65 and $650 and up to 30 days in jail.

The Elgin, Iowa Valley Community Coalition appears to be a Godly organization dedicated to saving our youth from the wages of sin.

The Valley Community Coalition (VCC) was established August 2000 with the principle mission being to reduce substance abuse and promote factors to minimize the risk of substance abuse in the Valley Community School District.

The VCC Youth Center is open every Saturday night from 7:00-10:00pm for Valley Junior High Students. The youth center has a 55-inch projection screen TV with surround sound, a pool table, ping-pong table, board games, a TV with a playstation, and a stereo! For more information contact the VCC Office.

Chaperone a Youth Center Night

In order for the Youth Center to be open, we need two adults each night to chaperone the junior high students. If you are interested in chaperoning , contact the youth center coordinator or call the VCC Office. You will need to attend an orientation session at the Youth Center which is located in the basement of the Larrabee building in Clermont. During that time, chaperones will familiarize themselves with the youth center facilities and youth center rules.

For insurance purposes and for the safety of youth in the program, all chaperones are screened and trained before they are allowed to chaperone a Youth Center Night.

Many of those small Iowa towns are cesspools of depravity born of the desperation of living among pigs, cows, and cornstalks. Often times there is little to do.
