To be fair, it is made by, and for , the African Negroid in the deepest darkest depths of the great grey green greasy limpopo river. Not for us civilised white folk. It actually doesn't look misaligned to me, or even tapered. Rather I think it's perspective playing a trick on your eyes, I could be wrong, but that's what I see there.
