    Notice: Request for Roundabout Art

    Pubic Notice

Mayor Hold is requesting the cooperation of the citizens of Freehold and their ideas for some summer street construction projects.

This construction involves replacing the street lights on several main arterial streets with "Roundabouts". These Roundabouts are being funded by the National Transportation Administration for the purpose of saving energy. The Roundabout System does not require electricity of stop lights nor waste automobile fuel for stops and starts.

In Freehold, however, we need your ideas in selecting Christian public art to be displayed at these Roundabouts. Mayor Hold wants to present a totally Christian image to our City. Thus, he is suggesting crosses, statues of Jesus and Ten Commandment monuments as possible artistic statements in the Roundabouts.

These are only suggestions, however. There may be other artistic concepts that would be equally appropriate for these public spaces and all suggestions will be considered.

    Thank you.

    Johny Joe Hold, Mayor

Re: Notice: Request for Roundabout Art

I purchased this statue from an estate auction several years ago. It stands about seven feet tall and appears made of some sort of mineral/resin composite.

Your Honor, I'd like you to consider accepting this statue as my donation to the beautification of Freehold. It will not only serve to beautify one of the roundabouts, but will also remind the unsaved trash who maneuver through that roundabout that they are personally responsible for the tears of our Savior. As I live only five hours from Freehold, I can deliver it whenever you have a place for it.

Mr. Jeffery--YES, Freehold accepts your most generous gift. It is, indeed, a powerful and beautiful piece of art.

Re: Notice: Request for Roundabout Art

As a Civil War buff, I often vacation in Richmond, Virginia. I enjoy the way they honor their Confederate Patriots with monuments on the roundabouts on beautiful Monument Avenue. Since Richmond has been taken over by Negroes (Doug Wilder, the Nigra who was the Governor of Virginia in the 1990s is now the Boss Man Massa Mayor of Richmond), I believe we might be able to get their collection of Confederate Heroes for practically NOTHING....

Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America

        Gen. Stonewall Jackson

        Gen. J.E.B. Stuart

        Gen. Robert E. Lee

These statues of Confederate heroes would go nicely with the statues we already have in Freehold: Nathan Bedford Forrest in Nathan Bedford Forrest Square, the statue of Joe McCarthy in Freedom Park, the statue of Richard Nixon in front of the downtown mall, and the statues of Coolidge, Harding, and Hoover at the Civic Center.

I would like to see an eternal flame 9/11 memorial. It would be a statue of the twin towers with the eternal flames coming from the parts the planes crashed into.

Surrounding the main statue would be smaller statues showing "the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians" and secularists dancing in the streets, as they did on 9/11.

There would be a loudspeaker playing this, 24/7:

I just hope I'm not asking too much.

Where would you suggest placing this "Jesus Face-Palm" statue?

If there were a Catholic Buggery Center -- I mean, church -- in Freehold, it'd be perfect right in front of it. You know, as if Jesus were so incredibly disappointed in those people for getting it so very, very wrong.

But I don't recall a Catholic church in Freehold. Or anything other than Landover, for that matter!

Wait, isn't there an AME Zion church (that black cult Obama likes) down in Brother Nobar's neighborhood, Jenkins Flats? Maybe it could go there! And that's the perfect neighborhood for the new arterial!

Re: Notice: Request for Roundabout Art

I think we need something like this, but twice as large for the center of the roundabout.

The statue is called "Begins the Trail". It was created by Sculptor Donald Luppen Reed
The dedication ceremony is part of Dixon's weeklong Reagan Trail Days Festival.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Despite whatever public work projects the city deems necessary for the safety of the residents of Freehold, I am going to continue to voice my opposition and displeasure about these traffic abominations. What are you going to do next? Make us drive on the left?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

You bring up a practical point, Nobar. The roundabouts seem to kill a fair number of people who forget to be in the proper lane when they see their exit street.

But, I hope you can also see the bigger picture.

In Freehold, the bigger picture is that of presenting Godly and political art on public property. The more of this we can accomplish, the more government and church become one.

The benefit of that seems to vastly outweigh the few deaths involved in the roundabouts.

Mayor Hold, how much is the budget for Freehold's roundabout art?

My church might have a statue in storage that would be suitable . . .

This statue, entitled "Psalm 137:9", was crafted by a member of my congregation to illustrate that same verse:

                    Psalm 137:9
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

We love the statue, but required that the happy man's "parts" be covered. The artist refused to allow it displayed with a loincloth or other covering, so now it sits in storage.

Maybe it would be a good fit in Freehold? I'm sure some arrangement for decency could be made.

Terribly indecent! He also doesn't look very happy despite the verse.

I imagine he'll look much happier after the dashing is complete. I'm sure having one stuck on his foot is rather unnerving!
