  • PUBLIC NOTICE: LBC PASTORS EXEMPT

PUBLIC NOTICE: LANDOVER BAPTIST PASTORS ARE EXAMPT FROM FREEHOLD SPEED LIMITS.

I've had many calls lately complaining about "speeding" by our Pastors at Freehold's largest church, Landover Baptist.

By this notice, I am placing the SUV's used by Landover Baptist Pastors in the same category as emergency vehicles. They are thus exempt for ordinances related to speeding, stop signs and stop lights.

This change in the status of Pastor vehicles will require that citizens take care to watch for the LBC SUV's. This slight inconvenience is a small price to pay for their work of saving souls.

    Johny Joe Hold, Mayor

    Thanks Mayor Hold.

Would express lanes for official church business be a possibility in any of the upcoming City of Freehold repaving contracts ??

And if we could get Des Moines to approve LBC vehicle use of all those stupid bike lanes, that would be nice too.

      Great ideas, both, Brother.

I don't see any reason why the bikes paths should not be converted to full speed lanes for our Pastors. I suppose its possible that bikes could remain and always yield to the Pastors. But, why bother to allow bikes anywhere anytime?

Thank you, Mr. Mayor. After all, we so often have to attend to spiritual emergencies.

Really. Why should bicyclists get special privileges for their lifestyle choice?

Express lanes from Freehold down to the airport would sure be convenient too. Fleur Drive was recently rebuilt, and I think they could cone off 1 lane each way for exclusive Landover use. Keeping those Gulfstreams idling at the airport is expensive. Seems like these lanes would be a win-win for everyone.

Mayor why not just station a squad car from the FPD at each of the Pastors homes. That way they can run interference for them, just turn on the lights and siren. Just about all the traffic lights recognise emergency vehicles. Then they would not have to stop for red lights, all traffic will have to yield. And as a bonus any one who is not a Member of LBC can and will receive a ticket for not yielding the right of-way. It's a win win for the comunity and the Pastors.

              What's an LBC pastor?

Why are they exempt from the law, while LBC's pastors are not?
              Bible boring? Nonsense!

Thank you, Mr. Dewitt. That is an idea with great merit. It would provide additional security for our LBC Pastors and their families as well. We cannot do too much for our Pastors, so, perhaps we can both provide the officers and keep the Pastors' exemptions as well.

Re: PUBLIC NOTICE: LBC PASTORS EXEMPT

I am happy to see the plan in action. Yesterday Ofc Don passed by me going 75mph followed closely by Pastor Ezekiel, lights flashing and siren blaring,a second squad car followed. Old lady Mrs Johnson did not yield, and the other officer stopped her and proceeded to give her a nice gift ticket . Is it true that the fine is $500.00 for the first offence? Why such a small fine?

Can I recommend installing emergency lights on the pastors vehicles?

I thought of that Brother V, I think they might detract from the beauty of the Pastors Cadillac, and could leave a scratch. You know how upset Pastor Ezekiel gets if his Escalade get a scratch on it.

Can't we get those ones that install in the grill?

Additionally, those front headlight ones can be installed just like they are on the undercover police cars.

The paint jobs shouldn't even be touched.
