Garbage Collectors to Monitor Tossed Items
This is to notify the Citizens of Freehold of a progressive new management program recently implimented in our City.
In the past, illegal or immoral activities were reported to the Police Department which acted on this information. Reportable acts were often ignored by citizens who did not call them in, or, were never observed by either citizens or police. To eliminate illegal or immoral activities from our City, a stronger system of intelligence was needed.
As of September 13, 2010, all city garbage employees, Level II and above, will report suspious items they observe in garbage cans. Collectors recently became certified to perform this task after completing a training course. The particular items the will look for are classified, but they pertain to what people read, what they watch on their television sets and computers and what they consume.
