I think the best way to bring people to Christ is to establish a common bond with them.

In the case of his stocking cap, I can see others are not paying attention to its cultural implications. The cap made for a warm southern climate. That is the cultural link to us. The Baptist's come from the South.

If we can get Mr. Rothstein to recognize that we wear the same cap in Iowa, except that ours folds down over the ears, you never know what might come next. We may have crossed a large cultural gap. Perhaps we can sit down together and read the New Testiment?

Mr. Rothstein, everytime I see your picture, I worry about you. The worry is about the stocking cap you are wearing. That stocking cap is just not robust enough for our Iowa winters.

Please buy one that pulls down to cover your ears. If you are unable to buy one, I will loan you one for the time being.

It is the beginning of yom kippur- I think they worship a smoked fish for 5 days or something like that.
Actually it is their time for atonement, supposedly their holiest holiday.I guess, as a people, they have a lot to say ''sorry'' for.

As reported to me, two pieces of evidence have been discovered which warrent this action:

    1. The carcass of a dead rat was found on the property. This finding places the property in the category outlined in the Freehold City Code as "Presence of Vermin" and requires immediate action.

    2. A citizen, Mrs. Roy Pedersen, reported seeing a man, wearing a backpack, using a walking stick and accompanied by a dog walking away from 1157 Park St. She lives only two blocks away from the property. Mrs. Perdersen said the man was definitely unshaven and that the dog had not seen a groomer for a considerable period of time. This violation falls under the Code's reference to "Presence of Vagrants" and also requires immediate action.

Under the executive powers granted me in the City Charter, I hereby order demolition of the building at 1157 Park Street and a Taking By The City. In this latter action, the City takes full ownership of the property which will be sold to another party. The current owner will be compensated after all demolition, legal and administrative fees are subtracted.

Now we are getting some place. I do not think that the cost of removal should be a burden on the tax payers of Freehold. My construction crew and handle it and I will take care of the cost. They will be already removing the other structures on the block, so one more is not a big deal. As of 10/1/2010 all remaining businesses and homes will be vacant, on 10/4/2010 we will be starting demolition. Mrs Phebe will submit a final plan to the zoning board some time in October.

Jesus said, "Your record on earth is not so bad, but, I see you brought to your City one of the Rothstein family. Did you know that his linage goes back to my time on earth? Did you know a Rothstein nailed my hands to the cross?"

Then, I woke up. I don't know for sure what this dream means, but it cannot be something good. If I were before Jesus I would have to admit I knew Rothstein might have a link to the cross. But, using eminent domain powers just because of Rothstein's Jewish heritage does not seem quite right either.

    I'm still thinking, thinking.
Mr Mayor, you are not thinking at all, its called tap dancing. Jesus spoke to you, and yet you ignore Him. Why? We ( DFAC) have made an offer on the property. No one and I mean no one wants a pawn shop in Freehold.
By an overwhelming majority the poll taken shows you what direction the residents of Freehold want. DFAC donated 3 Million dollars to the city for improvements to Jenkins Flats, you did not have a problem accepting that now did you. One can only assume that the aspect of a sleazy pawn shop that might employ 5 or 6 people is of more interest than a new office building that will employ 175 people. It appears that keeping an eyesore intact rather than upgrading and revitalizing is more in line with your thinking. Am I to assume that the city of Freehold will be happy with the tax base provided by a ran down antiquated structure rather than that of a proposed 175 million dollar office building? It would appear that the property taxes on said development are not needed by the city, nor are the added 175 jobs. James Dewitt

Fixed that for you, Brother James.

I believe that Holdstein and his son are attempting to create their own Israel in Iowa. Crossing the Jordan Rivulet, they will begin a settlement with a single pawn shop. Oh, and a house. Then imported Jewish workers, who will of course need "kosher" apartments, built around a piece of farmland where they can grow "kosher" food. This is called a "kibbutz".

Mark my words, if you let Holdstein get away with his plan, soon you will see towering multi-use condo buildings filled with Jewish families all up and down the West Bank of the Jordan Rivulet, with pedestrian-scale retail on the ground floors and lawyer, doctor, and accountant offices on the second and third floors. This will raise property values in Jenkem Flats . . . At first, it will be a great thing, enabling residents to borrow money and fix up their homes. They will be thrilled at the improvement, and at the new jobs the Jews bring. They will clamor for more Jews and vote for them in elections, sealing their own fate in the process.

Soon, they will be selling their prized big-screen TVs and ATVs at the pawn shop to pay their rising property taxes. Unable to keep up with the Jewtrification, they will have to move. First, to the trailer park, then to Des Moines!

And the pawn shop? It will thrive for a few years, until there are enough Jews to secure a majority on the Town Council. Then, it will be torn down, replaced by the sprawling Freehold Synagogue, Jewish Theological Seminary, and Kosher Deli Complex! Soon, Hasidic law will be enforced, and men trimming their beards, eating sausages, or praising Jesus will be publicly beaten!

Your business model will not work in Freehold. You may be able to pay thieving spooks pennies on the dollar for stolen merchandise in the ghettos, but not here. If I have to personally assist every resident here with items for sale, I will. We will sell on e-bay or Craigslist for a FAIR price.

Not one Freehold resident will ever set foot in your nest of sin. I guarantee this.

You and your "business" are unwelcome in Freehold. Please leave now.
You think you are up set, I dare you to tell Pastor Zeke that Phebe and I are thinking of building in Chicago. You tell him that if we go so does 12.5 million in tithe, and the building will not be named The Ezekiel Flint Building.
Go ahead and tell him I double dog dare ya.
The Mayor sure doesn't mind losing a large portion of his tax base and he seems not to care about 2500 voters.
Most of which belong to the church. He could care less that they will have to lower their tithe. He is however concerned about a Joo.

@ Sister BIG, yes and it is not a coincidence!
