There was a reason for that, Brother James.

        It was revenge.

He heard you were constantly spanking your monkey and he felt he had to take a stand.

This is a heads-up to the city fathers: Be on the lookout for a number of black Suburbans rolling through Freehold's streets and guys in three piece suits visiting the Mayor's office.

Roger told me he has contacted the crack law firm of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe. He says those joo-boys filed an injunction request in the court of Judge Abe Goldstein.

The judge looked favorably on the request and ordered the U.S. Marshall's office to enforce his ruling.

Potentially worse, the judge also ordered the Internal Revenue Service to examine whether tax dollars are being used to invade private homes to enforce the new ordinance in violation of the fouth amendment to the constitution.

This is great. All I ever see on those handi-ramps are the local skate board hooligans. Get rid of the ramps and hopefully the skaters will move on.

With the ramp removal well under way, some wheel chairs have been seen in the streets. Officier Richards told me yesterday he has ticketed several people for doing this.

He said it causes traffic to back up. In addition, cars and their drivers are endangered because they might hit oncoming traffic when trying to pass.

Since Officer Don "Slim" Richards won't do anything about law enforcement in Jenkem Flats, maybe Spring-Heeled Jackass can take a swipe at 'em.

It seems Mayor Holdstein is removing not just the big ugly ramps from buildings, but also the corners of every sidewalk in Freehold.

Isn't that a rather extravagant use of taxpayer funds? Who's the contractor? Was there a public bidding process?

It's about time that the handicapped given separate entrances so that we don't have to see them struggle with the stairs in front all day long.

Still, I think there are too many signs that draw attention to the handicapped. These should be removed, as well.

Widow Helen asked me to post her thanks to Freehold for the kind and generous undisclosed settlement after she tripped and broke her hip where one of the sidewalk handicap ramps had been removed and not replaced with a step.

Really, Mayor Hold. You should have your workers finish the job, or at least put up some caution cones if they're going to leave a big hole open at night.

She says that since the whole project was your idea, Mayor, she would really love to have you for dinner once she's back on her feet.

Re: Notice: All Handicapped Ramps to be Removed

I personally have to praise Mayor Hold for taking this bold step. Slipping and falling on these ramps is nothing more than turning us all into handicap people, and certainly the goal of all the LIEberal "egalitarians" from the very beginning.

We have the example of thousands of years of architects and builders, from the Egyptian pyramids, the Greek temples, and the great Roman cities, yet none of them built "handicap ramps". It took some pin head socialist communist government bureaucrat activist community organizer to get enacted an un-funded mandate in some socialist make work union thug stimulus program to put these thing in. Then once everyone has been injured by these things we now have to have another socialist communist ObamaCare socialized medicine to take care of them, which is why I see all these advertisements on TV that will get them free electric scooters paid for by the socialist medicare system. There is no two ways about it, these ramps are unsafe and OSHA should have declared them unconstitutional years ago - but NOOOO, they are just another arm of an overreaching socialist government we have to do away with. I'm sick and tire of this and mad as hell - give the socialists and inch and they take a mile. It's not just "creeping socialism", but a full onslaught taking away our freedoms.

                        ……

You must have her confused with someone else. Widow Helen is staying with and working for Phebe Carlyle until she gets her pie shop off the ground.

Why don't the cripple just obey Jesus?

                            John 5:8;
"Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk."

It's obvious that they don't even read the Bible (KJV1611).

I hate to over generalize. I'm sincere about this. But, having seen a relationship between being handicapped and use of, shall we say politely, euphoric substances, I've wondered if that relationship might extend beyond Widow Helen.

Widow Helen is not handicapped. She's merely injured, by the carelessness of your workers.

Seems the settlement was enough to get her pie shop underway! Don't worry, she says the very first batch of pies she makes at the shop will be named after you, Mayor Holdberg.
