That would seem to back up the idea of time zones, going against the point that BAB is trying to make. The day is when it is light, and the night is when it is dark.
Now when it is light in Freehold it will be dark in Bethlehem.

Plenty of references in the that could be used to claim that the eastern end of the Mediterranean is the center of everything, but I have yet to find one that shows the Freehold is.
