This is to bring all citizens up to date on what we in City Government are doing about the huge deer population in Greater Freehold area.
Some of you may have noticed the city up the road from us, Urbandale, is discussing a bow hunting season on deer. Other communities are allowing deer rifles with silencers on them.
The good folks of Freehold call me with this view and that. Some want the rifles used because, unlike being hit with a arrow, the deer is dead immediately. Others think bow hunting in more "sportsman". Then, we have residents who think every deer is Bambi from the movies and don't want any of them killed.
I hope folks understand none of these views is as important as finding a cheap and fast way to get rid of the pests.
We have police officiers and they have squad cars. I have ordered enough front protectors so every squad car will be equipped. Then, it is only a matter of having the officers run down the deer and hit them with the squads.
The deer will be made into deer sausage for our LBC pastors or frozen for their later enjoyment.
It remains a previlage to serve you, the citizens of Freehold.
