    Freehold Gets Free Fireworks for the Fourth.

    Notice to Citizens: Mayor Acquires Romney's Victory Fireworks

    This is to pass along the wonderful news the Romney Campaign was unable to use the $25,000 of victory fireworks it had planned for election night.

    Romney planned patriotic fireworks in Boston set to patriotic music. As soon as it was obvious the fix was in on the election, I phoned the campaign and asked the show be given to Freehold's Annual Fourth of July celebration.

    I've always said when God closes one door, He opens another. Thank you, God. And thank you Mitt Romney.

    I'm not sure that we can use Mormon fireworks in Freehold, Mayor Hold.

        Can fireworks be exorcised? Or does that only work for people?

          I'm glad you mentioned that, Pastor Zeke.

          I understand Mormons, who are not allowed to drink coffee, often call coffee "Postum". They say, "Folgers makes a great Postum."

          I wonder if we could call the fireworks, "PreChristian", or, "Exploding Mormonism". These are just some thoughts. I don't want to infer I am qualitfied to judge these theological matters.

          In any case, if we can't use these fireworks, I'll sell them to Salt Lake City and charge them plenty.
