Does Iowa Really Need Another "immigrant-owned tortilla factory"?

My good friend, Frankie Flanders, Mayor of a town just down the road from Freehold, Ottumwa, called yesterday. He was having a tough day.

The Today Show was doing a story about Ottumwa's growing beans and rice population. "I have to stand before those cameras and say I really like these Mexicans moving in here," Frankie told me.

We lamented how sad it is Iowa is being stolen from the white people who moved here to save the prairie from Indians. As soon as the tipis were gone, the enchiladas moved in.

Frankie tried to get Today to do a story on all white, Freehold. They weren't interested.

The Des Moines Register is the number one source for Des Moines and Iowa breaking, politics, business, agriculture, Iowa sports and entertainment news.

Re: Does Iowa Really Need Another "immigrant-owned tortilla factory"?

I'm sick and tired of the "thin round piece of dough (bread)" immigrant "wrap" culture populations. There's the French with their effete "crepes", the disgusting Irish and their "pasties", the noisy Italians are always promoting their "pizza", the dot-heads brought their Naan, and finally the number of middle eastern "cultures" that want to lay claim to the "Pita" would just as soon kill you for being an infidel.

There is nothing wrong with the all-American Hamburger on a traditional bun and the immigrant population needs to assimilate it instead of complaining.

One thing we don't need any more of around here are mooselimbs.
