  • Open Letter to Freehold Residents: No Billion Dollar FaceBook Project.

    CITIZENS OF FREEHOLD

My office has received several calls about an announcement FaceBook will build a billion dollar facility just up the road from Freehold in Altoona (Iowa). Callers want to know why the project was not built in Freehold.

I want to assure Freeholders we had a chance at the project. I visited with FaceBook execs and local economic development officials.

In the end, I told them unless FaceBook employees were screened to keep out homers, we did not want the project. The FaceBook officials were quite angry at my insistance, saying they could not attract the quality tech people they needed without them.

City Hall and Landover Baptist Pastors have our standards. If a business does not serve Jesus it will need to locate elsewhere.

A blessed Spring to all residents of Freehold.

    Johny Joe Hold
    Mayor

A great mayor leads by example. Finding a summer home in Freehold is looking more and more like a priority. Northern Illinois is a bastion of liberalism and hedonism and the leadership here would do well to learn from the likes of Mayor Hold.
Yours always in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior,

Thank you, Mr. Thyme. Indeed, you will not be bothered with the constant drum of including homers in economics development you encounter in Illinois.

        Praise Jesus!

They can keep those sodomites in Altoona. They'll be sorry when crime goes up and property values go down.

And when the normal folk want to move to a decent, God-fearing place, I'll laugh and laugh and laugh!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
