Dear friends and neighbors:
It's now summer, and I understand that a lot of people have gone on vacation. Still, many of you have gardeners, and those lazy slobs need to be told what to do, or they'll just do half of it.
Look at the state of my neighbor's driveway. There's at least 8" of muff spreading out from the crack of the dropped curb. That kind of stuff needs to be pulled. When it rains, weeds like this impede the proper drainage of the streets, plus dust and debris tend to collect under the tendrils:


Here's another curb with full grown weeds (and debris, also). This needs to be cleaned up.

Stuff like this is what causes streets and sidewalks to deteriorate:


It's also unsightly.
Here's another example where a neighbor has allowed his muff to cover his entire curb crack:

Missing curb blocks are not an excuse to let the muff take over, even if there are pretty flowers:

All of these house owners will be receiving an improvement notice in the mail informing them that they need to conform to the municipal code 6.1.1: Streets shall be kept clean of debris and weeds.
Maybe you all should go outside and check your curb. How does it look? Does your muff need to be trimmed or pulled? Take care of it; your neighbors will appreciate you much more if you do.
