  • Iowa leads the way in helping children and cripples find Jesus.

Once again Iowa is showing how much it cares the people who make the state their home.

Little 4-year-old Tatum Woods of Vinton has been supported to learn one of life’s most valuable lessons: that the way to Jesus is through prayer: not hand outs. If you want to walk: prayer is the answer!

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Supporting children to pray for recovery

How are people to learn the power of prayer is do gooder insurance companies take away any incentive to pray to Jesus?

Godly Terry Branstad knew this and he made sure that no one gets to ignore Jesus and get a free ride when there are prayers to be said (and save a bit for the mostly hardworking workers of Iowa).

Maybe more people should stop expecting handouts and start praying for a change?

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The contribution of Gov. Terry Branstad to the physical and mental health of our State of Iowa cannot be praised too often. He made us stronger.

One of the innovative ways he did this was by making it harder for the "handicapped" to get wheel chairs and walkers. His thinking is, "If people think they need this stuff they can save their money and buy it. Iowa does not have to give them wheel chairs."

I'm sure we are going to see many people leave the handicapped lifestyle because of Gov. Branstad.

I think Mayor Hold is being too modest.

If I recall correctly, it was YOU, Brother Mr. Mayor, who initiated contact with the governor, presenting him with the idea to promote prayer over handouts. It was YOU, Brother Mr. Mayor, who made handouts illegal in Freehold and denying residence to those who were unwilling to work, while limiting residence applications only to prospects with "more than comfortable incomes." It was YOU, Brother Mr. Mayor, who took a bold Christian stance against welfare even before you became mayor, working to shut down Des Moines area shelters and preach a prosperity gospel in the world of politics.

Freehold residents: show your mayor the credit he deserves. Leave him a note of appreciation here to make his day brighter.
      Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
      Amen and Amen

Thank you, Brother Larry, for that kind post. The credit for Freehold's success in influencing Governor Branstad goes to many people. Our Pastors are influential at the Statehouse and we have so many wealthy political donors in Freehold politicians take notice.

The more Iowans we can persuade to leave the handicapped lifestyle the better off handicapped people are and the better off our state will be. Think of the billions spent on ramps for wheel chairs and handicapped parking spaces. To make America Great Again, we need to have people get up and walk away from the physical ailments.

Amen! If you ask me, if little 4-year-old Tatum Woods of Vinton's parents loved Jesus, they would have spent more time paddling him and less time coddling him. Any person who catches the ire of the Almighty before he's reached school age deserves the rod, not pity.
