I'll keep this short and to the point...
I think this is one of the most misguided impressions of the Goth subculture that I have ever come across. This kind of thinking was supposed to have died out in the 1800s along with the idea of burning "witches" alive. I've been a member of the Goth scene for most of my life, from the time I was 11 or 12 years old (I'm 19 now). My family is agnostic and I was always taught to question and make up my mind for myself. Every other person should have this right and not be manipulated by fear of what we don't even know is true. Who can say for sure that there is a heaven or a hell? It is a silly thought that something that cannot be confirmed can rule a person's life. I won't condone or condemn, people have the right to believe what they want, but not to force it on other people. In paganism interfering with the free will of another is only acceptable in the most dire of circumstances.

And if you really look into Satanism (and I am fortunate enough to know some REAL Satanists), its quite a selfish path. Satanism does recognize 9 sins: Stupidity, Pretentiousness, Self-deciet, Heard-conformity, Lack of aesthetics, Counter prductive pride, Lack of perspective, Forgetfulness of past orthodoxies, Solipsism.
Every one has different morals and a different idea of what to believe...

This thread just might convince me to follow the christian religion. Who doesn't love to hate all things the doesn't 'fall in line' with the ordinance of their belief? Music: Do you honestly believe that everyone in the world should listen to the same thing? Are you really that ignorant and hypocritical? There are other forms of music, and liking rock, metal, sreamo, or any of that does not, in any form or fashion, make someone gothic. It is their own personal preference and you have no right to strip that from them, neither you nor your hypocritical god. There are Forms of those "satanic" "evil" musical styles and genres that preach the word of god, and if any of you had stopped for a second to actually try to understand this, you would know; oh wait, i forgot, you people are good at blindly following whatever you read/are told.

Tolerance: You show none. You will reply to any logical post with "you're evil and need jesus". I believe i will be labled trash or be brandished as "damned to the eternal hellfire" for my post, but this must be said. There are other forms of religion, other ways of thinking, and does Christianity not teach understanding and forgiveness? You must have spent too much time skipping sunday school to beat up orphans who liked other forms of music. There is a reason people dislike christians, and that reason are the people that are on this website. Horrid, corrupted, distasteful, hypocrites like you. I myself am not of the christian faith, i do believe in a higher power, i listen to music you classify as "evil", i have a large christian family who (unlike the followers who are praised on this site) are GOOD, INTELLIGENT PEOPLE, I am an intelligent person, and i am a good person. Faith: It is absolutely wonderfull to have something to believe in. Whether you believe in Allah, Buddha, God, Zues, etc simply does not matter in this cruel world. I'm appalled at the vial things this website holds within it.
