The other day, when I was outside with my youngest, we came across some heathen kids. Those heathens were singing some seemingly harmless sounding kids song. But when they got closer I really heard the words, to my horror, of that song they were singing. I immediately slapped my child unconscious and carried her away, so that she would not be exposed to that filth any second longer.

Needless to say I was very shocked about this, but decided still to do some research about the matter. That song was just that revolting, even for heathens to sing. After some time and help from my nephew, I was able to trace down the source of this smut. Yes, you guessed right, it was the goths.

The goths had deviced new weapon against the children. A morning children's program! In this diabolical program some sort of gothic demon is encouraging children in fornication, bestiality (with spiders!), sex toys and masturbation. Of course my children are never allowed to watch TV, but I can see how this is very dangerous to child of unaware parents.

This following footage is censored, I just could not bare to link original here in it's full vulgarity, still you must remove the young ones and women out of the room before you can watch this. It is just that despicable. And yes, the censored word is the "f word" for reproduction.

Ok, I was so appauled by this forum that I actually made an account PURELY for the reason of posting this.
You people are so hooked on stereotypes!! My goodness i've never known anything like it. For a start, the photos you used. Betty Curse (the first one, because i doubt you had any idea who she was) may dress gothic, yes, but her music (yes, she's a singer! who knew?) is actually as far from demonic and "gothic" as you could imagine. In fact, there are many different modern pop groups today that are much more prevocative than her! Her music does have a rock sound to it, but so what? So does the Jonas Brothers, and I doubt God's going to damn them to hell. And.. Emma Watson? REALLY? OMG SHE WEARS BLACK, OMG SHE HAS BLACK MAKEUP, SHE'S THE DEVIL!!! Yeah, I'm totally sure her CHRISTIAN beliefs prove your point there completely.

Secondly: "Goth causes teenage girls to become whores, depresses kids to the point of cutting themselves..." Ok, first of all, 9 times out of 10, kids who have problems in their life, for example family, friends, traumas, or PRESSURING RELIGIONS ON PEOPLE BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY, including many other things, cause people to self harm. THIS, is what usually brings them TO the gothic culture. But it doesn't HAVE to! I know many people who self harm, but they're in no way related to the gothic culture. They don't have to be linked. And lastly, whores? Really? Ok, look on TV, look at some Jeremy Kyle shows or whatever you have in America. Look at the girls who are getting pregnant at 13, 14, 15 years old. Please, tell me, which ones of those look like goths to you. I bet hardly any of them. So, I have no idea WHERE you're getting your information from, and I'd love to know where. Probably another twisted forum like this, i bet.

Another thing: "Goth in itself is a mental illness, a sickness of the soul, mainly affecting teenagers in the same way as schizophrenia would, although to a greater extent." SERIOUSLY, you actually KNOW what schizophrenia is?? Schizophrenia is a mental disorder in which the sufferer gets hallucinations, delusions, muddled thoughts based upon these hallucinations, and severe changes in behavior. They sometimes have multiple personalities and even believe there is another person living inside them. This can be a very, very scary experience for the person. HOW THE FUCK, can you link that to being Goth? And how DARE you to say it is even at a GREATER EXTENT? Not only is that a misconstrued idea, but that's just absolutely out of order for you to even THINK of relating the two. That is really, truly heartless. Disgraceful.

And something else: "Rock music attacks the nervous system, affecting one's emotional state." EVERY TYPE OF MUSIC effects one's emotional state. For me, heavy metal makes me happy, classical makes me happy and relaxed, and Hannah Montana makes me hyper and girly. Paramore makes me want to sing along whereas Owl City makes me feel like I'm in a dream! I know for my mum though, metal music makes her depressed, 70s music makes her nostalgic, classical makes her annoyed and Norah Jones makes her wanna sing along. See, music effects people in different ways. That's why there are so many different types of music - people feel connected to completely different things to each other. So yes actually, you're right! It DOES effect their emotional state. And also, you say ROCK music. Did you know there are SO, SO MANY different types of Rock music? Why don't you try out a band called Skillet - an awesome rock band, and did you know they're also a Christian band, and that ALL their songs have Christian messages behind them?

Just lastly in this section, I really can't believe you're calling Sabrina the Teenage Witch "satanic" and "gothic". Now THAT really is pathetic. It's a KIDS SHOW. What, do you really believe some 6 year old is going to watch that program and decide "I want to be like her! She does so much awesome stuff!" and 5 minutes later start worshiping Satan? I don't think so. If you say something as innocent as that can change someone, ever thought that someone could read the Bible, read about Satan and his power and decide they would prefer to worship him? Hey, if you're saying Sabrina is evil? Then I guess anything is possible, isn't it!

But now, I just want to mention myself, and my friends. I have been called Goth SO many times. Which to be honest with you, on the whole, I guess it could be true, if you really, REALLY had to label me. But really? I'm just being myself. Yes, I do wear black as my main colour of clothing. I wear skulls, band t-shirts, and apparel relating to films such as Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. I listen to heavy metal bands, death metal, black metal, progressive rock, and many others that are related, and bands such as Lamb of God, Bullet for my Valentine, Escape the Fate, and Deals Death. I love the idea of magic, wizards, and wicca, and also the celtic culture. I love zombies, games and movies, and I can't leave my room without black eyeliner, or at least eyeshadow, around my eyes. I'm also extremely interested in the paranormal (eg. ghosts and spirits), and watch shows like Most Haunted and Ghost Whisperer.

BUT WAIT, before you condemn me to hell? That's not the full story.

I'm also a happy, excitable 16 year old - I'm extremely creative, and imaginative. I'm friendly, and have many friends, even people who seem completely different to me. I'm known for my sense of humor and how I can giggle and laugh at anything and everything. I'm always smiling. Yes, I wear a lot of black, but I'm also known for my thigh-high rainbow striped socks, and my "panda hat" - a hat, that has a panda face on the top. I am trustworthy, and never, EVER break a promise. I will comfort anyone, whether I like them or not. I may be interested in magic, and wicca, but more in the "Charmed" and "Harry Potter" sense. I have never considered worshiping Satan, and I don't ever plan to. I also love the idea of celtic culture, but more because I LOVE folklore, fairies, elves, unicorns, dragons, and that sort of idea. I also love the Japan and Anime culture - I listen to Japanese rock and pop music, and love rainbows, bunnies, kitties, Pokémon, Hello Kitty, and generally anything cute and fluffy!! I'm also a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh, and infact anything Disney, including Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, Phineas and Ferb, Tinkerbell, and all things like that! I even love shows like Lazytown, and in fact, I'm listening to the soundtrack right now! I said I liked Metal bands, but ya know, I listen to pretty much EVERYTHING. This includes Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, S Club 7, Owl City, and SO many others. I also find peace in the classical piano likes of Ludivico Einaudi, and LOVE the soundtrack to the French film Amelié of Montmartre. I also do well at school, and am pretty much a straight-A student. I love Maths, and English, including Shakespeare.
AND LASTLY, GUESS WHAT? I'M CHRISTIAN! YEAH, THATS RIGHT. I believe in so many Christian teachings and beliefs. My family is actually part of the "Church of Jesus Christ if Latter-Day Saints" church (LDS/Mormon), and so am I! I believe very strongly in their teachings like: no alcohol, no drugs, no smoking, no sex before marriage, and so many others.

Also, my friends - I have the most amazing boyfriend for a start, who yes, has many interests which may be considered "goth", like the music, films, paranormal, and many other things, but that doesn't mean he's in any way evil. He's actually a catholic - and he has the same morals and values as I do, including no sex before marriage, and no alcohol or drugs or smoking. He is the sweetest, kindest, most considerate guy you have ever met. He is COMPLETELY different to other guys. He loves computers, and one day hopes to become a game coder. He is also amazing at game sprites (graphics) and "pixel art". And just like me, he's always smiling and laughing at things. He is truly amazing, and an incredibly strong soul. He is everything to me and I love him with all my heart.

I have many other friends who are JUST LIKE ME - just a mix of everything. I actually don't know ANYONE whatsoever so fits your stereotypical idea of "goth".
All I'm saying is that, Christ taught us to treat everyone with respect, to "treat others as we would want to be treated", and to accept people for who they are. There is nowhere where it says He wants us to discriminate against other groups of people, especially without having a proper knowledge in the first place. I can understand how religions must hate Goths - but they only seem to see the stereotype. A stereotype is an idea, and actually hardly ANYONE is like that. Yes, you WILL get the fair few satanic goths, but it's in no way fair that you say everyone who wears black is ultimately satanic.
I AM UNIQUE. I AM MYSELF. I am religious, and I have different interests to other people. Is that really SUCH a problem? If everyone in life was the same, life would be so boring. We could never find love, or true friends, because everyone would be the same - there would be no enemies, no friends, no hate, no love. WE NEED difference in society.
And lastly, I don't see how it's actually your right to condemn a group of people simply because you're religious? SO WHAT if you don't believe in the same stuff? That doesn't mean their bad people. I don't think you're a bad people simply because you hate goths - I just think you're ever so prejudice about the subject. And THAT'S what I don't like. That's why I'm here today. You need to stop stereotyping, and open your eyes to the real world. The real world is full of PEOPLE. Just like you. People you like their own thing, believe their own thing, and just because someone looks "goth" (aka: different) doesn't mean they're evil, doesn't mean they worship Satan.

Now, THIS, has to be one of the biggest sins of all. It's really disgraceful. I don't know how you can judge people and tell them they're corrupt when you use smilies like these.)
