There is, however, more evidence leaning towards the bible being wrong.

And where is said unprovided proof?

There is absolutely no proof in the legitimacy of the bibles stories. while i am not a believer i am not trying to insult the Christian faith, but so far i have seen nothing but hate and bigotry coming from many of this sites posters. It makes me sad that the great words of a man as kind and intelligent as Jesus of Nazareth could be twisted and warped in such a way that it could turn his words of love into such strong words of hate.

many of your points dont make much sense at all, while many cultures do have flood stories which could be caused by, you know, floods happening in different places, not all cultures do. The reason for the many different languages is because hominids spread out from their original site before any sort of real sense of language had been created. Sodom and Gomorrah could have very well been real cities/towns that had terrible catastrophes which were called divine action since people back then had not discovered an explanation for it. I'm not actually certain about that one just trying to rationalize it, and if that is the case both the locations of these cities were right near a very active fault line so it may have been an earthquake. Egypt exists just as any nation exists. Jericho was just/is merely a town located in modern day pakistan. And i absolutely believe that Jesus existed. I think he is one of the wisest men to have ever lived, i just do not believe that he was of divine nature.

Thank you for indulging me in some civil debate, it is good for both sides of the argument to try and look at things from another point of view sometimes.

Also please do not ban me simply for discussing, the name of the thread is "Are you an Athiest?" after all.

people originated in several distinct locations and the spreading took thousands of years, besides, we dont know the root language, so how can you even claim the current languages arent from that root language? you can not!

i have studied history (all of it) and there is not a single shred of evidence for any god, let alone your god. there is an abundance of evidence for people abusing religion for their own gain though, does that count?

When I was younger we used to play that game a lot after church. The first child would say "I love Jesus" and the last child would still say the same!

I am not saying atheists are mindless idiots at all, but when something is so clearly hateful against us it sort of provokes one to embrace it. Sort of like how Christianity grew more quickly when the romans brutally persecuted them.

And i can't just start to love Jesus aha, so far i have not seen significant enough evidence for a supreme power to make me believe in it.
