  • Pastor Jim's trip "Down Under"

    Hello Pastor Jim,

I was disappointed to read that you had to cut short your trip to Australia by a couple of days due to a problem with the landing gear on your jet.

I hope that it is all sorted now and that you will have a safe journey to our country.

I am wondering what your schedule is once you get here and whether you may have an opportunity to taste my pie this trip. Daddy says I make the best Koala and mango pie he has ever tasted.

If we don't catch up this time then all the best with your time with Sister Phebe.

    Kind regards,
    Charli.

    Oh silly me.

I am terribly sorry Rev Jim but I just looked at the dates on the calendar, and being aware that you have to return to Landover for the stoning, .... well ..... the whole time you are Down Under is my menstra time.

I do have a nice shack at the bottom of the garden but what I often do is just fill up the harley and go bush for that week. It gives both Daddy and myself some breathing space.

I will have to do a lot of baking the next 2 days and fill the fridge and freezer so that Daddy has pies, meals and cookies while I am away.

I can only go about 200km away so that I still have half a tank to come back without having to go to a service station or talk directly to anyone while I am unclean. I do have a laptop and an internet dongle so I can still check out my favourite Christian forums while I am away. And during daylight hours I can read my KJV1611 bible. I do not take a torch or any lights as I tend to sleep from sun down to day break.

I enjoy this time of the month as being shut in the shack or out bush on my bike means I do not have chores and baking and cleaning to do. So it gives me so much more time to read the bible and commune with God.

So Rev Jim. I am terribly sorry that we will not be able to meet this time. I wish you an enjoyable time with Sister Phebe and safe travels to and from this country.

    Kind regards,
    Charli

      Cheer up Charli,

I think I'll be able to see you. I do have 2 nights of my tour taking place in Perth Hockey Stadium. All 6,000 seats have already been sold out! My assistant tells me that Perth is in Western Australia, where you live. I'm glad I have him because, frankly, I don't really give a damn about where anything is outside of America.

I am not going to cut my Australian evangelist tour short, since there are souls to be saved and donations to be raised. The stoning festival sounds wonderful, but it is my responsibility as a True Christian(tm) pastor to raise as much money possible for Landover Baptist Church. I know it is what God wants.

I intend to bring 100,000 uncivilized, Godless Aussies to Christ and I always fulfill my intentions.

        Hello Rev Osborne,

How did you go with your evangelism meetings in Perth? I didn't even realise that we had a hockey stadium there. But Daddy and I do live a fair way out of the city.

I am unclean (if you know what I mean) until Wednesday. How long are you staying in Western Australia or are you planning to return here during this trip Down Under?

        Regards,
        Charli.
