Pastor Chosen to Lead Christian Coalition Steps Down in Dispute Over Agenda

    NEELA BANERJEE
    Published: November 28, 2006
WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 — The president-elect of the Christian Coalition of America, which has long served as a model for activism for the religious right, has stepped down, saying the group resisted his efforts to broaden its agenda to include reducing poverty and fighting global warming.

    [...]

Over the last few years, Dr. Hunter, senior pastor of Northland Church in Longwood, Fla., has gained a reputation as an evangelical leader seeking to expand the agenda of conservative Christian activists from issues like abortion and same-sex marriage.

    [...]

Dr. Hunter said, “When we really got down to it, they said: ‘This just isn’t for us. It won’t speak to our base, so we just can’t go there.’ ”

Clearly Dr. Hunter isn't a True Christian.
Tir'd, and despairing, O celestial maid,
    I'm caught, I cry'd, without thy heav'nly aid.
Help me, Diana, help a nymph forlorn,
Devoted to the woods, who long has worn
Thy livery, and long thy quiver born.

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10

By turning their backs on God and refusing to tithe properly, the impoverished are thumbing their noses at a potential blessing and are thus responsible for their own plight. Shame on Dr. Hunter for trying to distract our focus from important matters like stamping out sexual perversion!

That guy is a homer like Ted Faggard. Pastor Pistle and I played a round of golf with him once at Pebble Beach, and you should have seen the way he pranced.

Jesus helps poor people by promising to bless them with riches beyond belief. They simply lack faith. I have a $7 million home in a luxurious gated community. That PROVES that I am doing right by Jesus, because He is taking care of my every need. If those poor people just Tithed everything they own, as the Bible says, then their troubles would be over. And how.

Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. Mark 12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Mark 12:43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: Mark 12:44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
      Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Dr. Hunter’s departure is the latest difficulty to confront the Christian Coalition, which was founded 17 years ago by Pat Robertson and quickly became the chief lobbying group and voter organizer for the religious right. Since Mr. Robertson’s resignation five years ago, the coalition has struggled with creditors, defections by state affiliates and a dwindling presence in the capital.
Well? Where's our shove? We have Pastor Deacon Fred, and we have you, Pastor Ezekiel...
        and we have Pastor Al!

Can't you powerballers get on that board and straighten them out?
        They've really ruined themselves recently.
The C.C .ought to get to the Heartland, to Freehold, and be the L C C.

We'd fix the Christian Coalition alright, all right all Right & Righteous.

And that's my pome for this mourning.

Hunter fails to understand that helping the poor to tithe to Jesus is the only social justice the poor really need.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Re: Protecting the Environment and Helping the Poor?

It is indeed a glorious day when even a homer dzhoo MSM "news"paper like The New York Times reports on the fact that a hippy-dippy false Christian has been exposed.

Now, with regard to the heresies that Miss Hunter has preached:

Reducing poverty? Let's see what Scripture says about that:

Mat 26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

Mar 14:7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

Jhn 12:8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

Is Miss Hunter calling Our Lord Jesus Christ a liar?

Global warming? Sorry, but in anothe venue, I've already shown from Scripture that global warming is impossible. Besides, I'm sure that if it were happening, it would be caused by gay marriage.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

We're the United States of America; are you telling me that we can't figure out a way to allow global warming in poverty stricken areas only? It would be like killing two birds with one stone. A major portion of global warming is caused by the stench of human filth that can't afford to wash themselves; get rid of them and solve the problem.

                Yea Brother Deaner.
It takes a real True Christian™ M_A_N to come out with the causes and the cure for this so-called poverty "problem".
