  • Notice to Students and Parents: New Mascot At Freehold High

    Notice to Students and Parents:

I've been concerned for some time about the school mascot at Freehold High School. I don't have to tell you, we've been known since way back when as the Spartans.

Now, back in the day, Spartans may have seemed like a harmless mascot. But, as we learn more, I have concluded we cannot provide Christian education in our public school unless we drop this mascot.

One problem is the actual Spartans were heathen pagans. We also know there was considerable homosexual activity in Greece at the time. The mascot, Spartans, has also been used by a nearby Soccer team. Soccer a homosexual sport.

I know you will be excited to learn the name of our new mascot. The mascot for Freehold High is now the She-Bears.

The She-Bears will be a mascot to rally around. Our sports teams and fans will now have a mascot that not only befits a Christian public school like Freehold, but has a story that teaches us all.

The She-Bears provide us with a lesson in bravory and Biblical behavior.

In the Bible story, the brave She-Bears came out of the words and punished children who were disrespectful to adults. They torn the children apart. We can say simply, lesson learned.

So, all together now: GO SHE-BEARS!!!!

Personally I have felt the name should have been changed years ago. There isn't a year goes by when somebody ends up with a tree full of condoms on homecoming night. Then last year when a close by town [name withheld at lawyers insistence] that paid to have this advertisement placed in their weekly news. I will never believe that the local editor would take a cash payment from somebody named Abie Normal for a spot ad right next to a game's highlight pictures. I for one will never forget the insult.

All I have to say now is GO SHE BEARS!

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

We have a high school? Do the butlers and maids who don't love their children enough to home school them send them there?

1 Timothy 2:13-15 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Yes, Sister Whitford, we have a bustling High School. I walk our neigborhoods a few times each year discouraging people from going the home school route.

I don't tell all parents this, but the problem I have with home schooling is we cannot gaurantee adequate training in the Christian faith. The quality control mechanism just isn't there. By forcefully "persuading" all children into the Freehold Public Schools, we can be certain adequate time is devoted to prayer and Bible study.

The Iowa ACLU does call me on occasion. I ask them if they have a parent who has complained about our Chrisitan training and prayer. They sometimes say they do. But, when I find out who it is, they complaint is withdrawn.

Hm, that sounds like government intervention to me. Taking our money and spending it because "the government knows best". Why not burn down those money gobbling schools and tithe the money to Landover Baptist Church instead?

To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

In all due respect, Brother Cranky, I need to remind you we are required to have a public school in Freehold. We have to collect tax dollars for a school.

We don't want those tax dollars falling into the hands of secular politicians, as almost happened in the last Mayoral election.

Another thing, we do not have the to force of law on our side to force people the tithe. In my view, merging the power of government and spreading the gospel into one seamless unit it the way to go.

We need the public school to take money from the greedy liberals in the federal

government. They don't know how to run a country, let alone how yo use money

in the way Jesus intended. I hope the public school can provide a quality

Christian education for my children, the oldest of which will be starting

              kindergarten next year.

What a disgusting picture. I would never consider going near one of them. I always make sure my sheep, Lily, has a cute little pink bow on her head.

When I'm behind her I always lean forward and tickle her ears. She really likes that.
