What are you still doing here, boy? How pathethic to go against the Bible and suspect us to follow Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!

That's the biggest bunch of bull I've ever read.. "I have not found him yet nor know anything about him". Come on here... You clearly HAVE found Him. If you didn't you wouldn't even know His name. As for knowing nothing about Him, everything you need to know is right in the KJV. No.. I think the problem is that you have found Jesus but you don't accept him as your true lord and savior. This is probably because He doesn't fit in to your lifestyle. You're probably another one of those people who are just waiting until it's convenient to bring Him in to your life. Well let me tell ya something, by then it'll be too late.

Interesting point of view from an unsaved person. Are you trying to understand this as well?

I disagree, to find someone or something you have to be close enough to be in its presence which would allow you to know at least a little about it. I have already stated I didn't know anything. Just knowing someone's name doesn't mean you have found them it just means you are aware of them, big difference. That is why I have been asking all of these questions to perhaps be close enough to be found. The representatives here have unfortunately been a bit aggressive but slightly helpful none the less.

Nothing of this magnitude is ever convenient so I would not be waiting for that as it would never happen.

To find someone just means to find them... just like looking for that satan worshiping Waldo in those pagan children's magazines (which I'm sure you've done). There is a big difference between finding and knowing and I'm sure you're confusing the two. You don't have to be close to a person to seek them out and find them. You think the police run around committing crimes and killing people just to be close to the person they're trying to find? Do you think the U.S. military is suicide bombing people in the United States just to know, understand, and get close to Osama? Honestly... stop making excuses

Hmm...I think everyone would agree that find means find but that definition doesn't really explain much. If you are looking for something you haven't found it yet whether that be Waldo (whoever that is) or something else. I agree you don't have to be close to someone to seek them out and find them, that is why you are searching to begin with. Once you find them, which would be a future state, you would then become close to them but you could know the name before this happens.

I completely agree with your police and military examples, they don't do these things. They try to find these people but are not close to them. Your examples prove my original point.

But you have found what you're looking for..otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation. All you need to do know is to KNOW Jesus and follow the word of God which you can find in the KJV 1611. All this nitpicking you're doing is just showing me you have absolutely no desire to become saved.

If you don't know anything about Him, what makes you think you'd ever want to know anything about Him? Also, why do you refer to Jesus as the Christ? Christ in not His surname, but His designation as "The Anointed One" or the "Messiah".

I am just trying to make sure there is not limitation on when I would be allowed to repent and be welcomed to heaven. In lieu of a few discrepancies it sounds like you explanations indicate that I can become saved any time and still go to Heaven.
Your time limit expires the moment you make a conscience decision to postpone your relationship with Jesus. If you don't have time for him now, why should He make time for you later? Do you think Jesus owes you that? He doesn't. You owe Him and He takes a dim view of people like you with your sense of entitlement after He has been ignored when your relationship with Him would have been most important. Your plan is inherently and fatally flawed, you see. God is not a tax-subsidized government agency from whom you can one day demand services, which might explain why this is all so foreign to you.

I do believe people should avoid Hell.
You talk the talk, but want to postpone walking the walk until it's more convenient for you. You'll see. That strategy is going to seriously suck.

Give yourself to Jesus today. Talk to one of our pastors, privately if you like, and they can guide (not drag) you to everlasting life.

Ah, Aziraphale. I see you named yourself after a character in the blasphemous book Good Omens, written by the atheist Terry Pratchett and pagan goth scientologist jew Neil Gaiman.

Strange, I never picked up on this. I, silly me, thought it was a Smurfs reference. I attributed it to the average landovarian's culturally leanings and learnings.

                        Re: Hello

I explained in my introduction why I chose Aziraphale's name. He was the angel bent on preventing the Apocalypse. I was able to keep the book in its proper perspective and never cease to be amazed by the creativity of the damned. Prachett will be making a public appearance near Chicago in February and I look forward to asking him in person whether he has yet given himself to Jesus and to presenting him with a copy of the 1611 King James Bible.

As for the book, it was worth reading and discussing with a pastor or trusted Christian. I realize that accounts of God's workings are sort of rare and it was interesting to observe how it is done by cretins. As Vito Corleone said, "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer." It benefits all of us if we know what those who would plot our demise are thinking.

Now, none of this is to defend my having read the book. It was a guilty pleasure and it happened while I was still under the spell of the eucharist (a.k.a. death cookie), but I still, maybe more now than before, identify with Aziraphale and his relentless and selfless service to God.

I would add that if there is a consensus that I ought to consider a name change, perhaps to my real name, I would happily agree to such a change now that I have become familiar to everybody here.

Why would anyone want to do that? It's Biblical prophesy that it will happen, and all prophesy in the Bible is 100% accurate.
