  • No Taco Bell in Freehold

I hope our wonderful citizens of Freehold are enjoying the beautiful Fall season. The changing seasons are truly a gift from God.

Something has come up I need to discuss with you. I am asked from time to time, "Why don't we have some ethnic restaurants in Freehold?"

The opportunity to have our first one came across my desk yesterday, an application from TACO BELL.

    I turned it down.

My thinking is we in Freehold do not need the influences of Mexico in our City. Mexico is a Catholic country, uses a foreign language and is part of the liberal force in our nation.

If we allow a TACO BELL, where will it all end?

Thank you, citizens of Freehold, for your continued support.

Clearly a beaner restaurant is an offense to the Lord, to True Christians™ and to the palate. No brainer there.

How about one of those Austrian Outback Steakhouse places? What's more American than steak, chicken and ribs? As long as we prohibit those Abos from 'throwing a shrimp on the barbie' I can't see a problem. Better than having a Chink or Wop place in town.

Brother Hold, I saw this post and prayed about this matter. Mexican establishments usually bring good restaurants tainted with bloody, naked crucifixes on the walls. And while I love the food, I don't want to support inadvertently a ring-kisser.

I support your decision. But those tortillas with butter and habanero sauce and 3 for $2.50 bean and cheese tacos are delicious, aren't they? You see now why I needed to pray about this matter.

Me being a noob to Freehold, I suppose a Hooters is completely out of the question. I have always liked Hooters though sometimes their fries are harder than a pastors pecker.

You're obviously unacquainted with Landover pastors then.

            Amen, Mayor.

You put a Taco Hell (yes, that is the nickname if you can believe it) in town, next thing you know everybody's driving El Caminos and speaking latin and burping menudo in your face.

            No thanks.

I hope you guys realize that almost every restaurant is a Mexican restaurant. Do you ever peek in the kitchen when you're going to the restroom? Who do you think makes your food?

Re: No Taco Bell in Freehold

Bravo, Mayor Joe Hold, for resisting this ever-present attack on our borders, language, and culture.

I have seen the creeping "reconquista" firsthand.

In San Francisco, we used to have a street named Army Street, in honor of, well, the US Army. That was unacceptable to the new conquistadors and their liberal Democrat supplicants, so in 1995 they changed the street's name to Cesar Chavez Street, in honor of some troublemaking Latino who'd spent his life trying to raise the price of your produce by getting all the illegal farmworkers unionized.

Worse yet, and more on topic, just ten minutes South of San Francisco, in my home town of Pacifica, we used to have a wonderful A&W Root Beer hamburger restaurant right on our beautiful beach.

The beach, by the way, was (and still is, officially) named Linda Mar Beach.

Naturally, something as American as hamburgers and root beer floats couldn't possibly be allowed to persist. Sure enough, they closed down our beloved A&W and re-opened it as a damned Taco Bell!

Now here's where the story gets really horrifying:

Idiot out-of-towners are so taken with the apparently fanciful notion of a Taco Bell being on a beach that pretty much the entire world has taken to referring to our beach as "Taco Bell Beach!"

I tell somebody I live within walking distance of Linda Mar Beach, and they give me a blank stare. Then they finally figure it out and say, "Oh, you mean Taco Bell Beach? I love to go and eat burritos at Taco Bell beach!"

Every time I hear this, it is only by the grace of God that I am able to resist strangling somebody.

If you don't think this is part of a concerted effort to reduce whiteness levels in our community, just compare the number of white people and Mexicans living in my town in 2010 to that same figure in 2011:

                Pacifica, CA US Census Data

Had you allowed the spicy seed of Taco Bell to find purchase within the chaste womb of Freehold, it would have only been a matter of time before people started referring to your main street as "Taco Bell Boulevard," and the female high school students started giving birth to little brown anchor babies!

You did the right thing, Mr. Mayor. If America were genuinely a free-market, laissez-faire country and not under the jackboot of Obamunism, people would have no right to force their exotic foreign food on us.

why don't you go look in the crawl spaces in our houses while you are at if for our maids and gardeners? Does that mean all our houses are Mexican to because the woman who cleans our toilets speaks Spanish?

Well this is news to me – a restaurant of all things. I've heard of Taco Bell, but always thought it was a Mexican phone company.
                        Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

Re: No Taco Bell in Freehold

On Freehold's business application, I have inserted these questions:

Will customers be required to speak Spanish?

Will customers be subjected to hearing Spanish spoken among employees?

Taco Bell answered NO to both of these questions.

I just assumed they were not telling the truth because of the Spanish word "Taco" is used in the name. On this basis I turned down the application.

To be truthful, I should have visited a Taco Bell to hear for myself if Spanish is used. My guess is it is owned and operated by Catholic Mexicans who jabber on and on, pretending they understand each other.

If you'd allowed Taco Bell to do business in Freehold, it would have only been a matter of time before the Freehold P.D. and private security patrols had to contend with gang members like this.

And let's face it, Taco Bell is not exactly family-friendly in their advertising:

                            ¡Yo queero bestiality porn!

That's true, but the Bible very explicitly directs us to put Mexicans to work in the most demeaning jobs at the lowest possible wages:

Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. Leviticus 25:44

Canadians, unfortunately, are simply too expensive, so we're stuck with Mexicans.
