Yeah, pretty much. I will not shut my ears and close my eyes just so I can go to Jesus. If he gave me eyes, ears, a brain and the powers of reasoning + logic, that was for a reason. I see no reason to be punished for using them.

He gave you those wonderful things so you would understand how much He TRULY loves you. How can you be so selfish and arrogant as to turn His love aside just because you find something personally distasteful about some of His followers.

It is as though he forced cocaine up my nose and then proclaimed thathaving cocaine in my body will get me sent to hell. Not that I have ever done cocaine. Or any narcotics, for that matter.

The Lord did indeed give you a brain capable of logic. Without it, how would you be able to choose Salvation over Damnation? How would you know to eat the mushroom, and not the toadstool? How would you learn to pet the friendly dog, but avoid the snarling wolf?

You WOULDN'T, of course! You'd be puking and twitching on the floor after eating poisonous toadstools with your one remaining hand, slowly slipping away and into eternal hellfire!
