Talking about cooking, auto repair, and Guam

Ladies,

I am distressed by the low quality of cooking good Christian men are having to suffer these days. I have even heard, on good authority, that a certain wife (whom I will not name) has even been caught trying to feed her husband tofu. TOFU!

Since I don't know anything about recipies or how to find them, I have instead decided to hold up restaurant dishes as an example of what a proper day's cooking should be:

There's always allrecipes.com. Or, there's always the Food Network channel to watch, and they have some amazing recipes on their website, too.

I like allrecipes.com too. It has that nifty search where you can put in the ingredients you want and don't want. Cooking is my favorite hobby, so I use that website all the time.

Yes thank the good Lord for allrecipes. I am another fan. You should see my printed out collection of good stuff. No Tofu. My kitchen is my best friend.

Even I can spot a bigot like you. What would a man do if his wife died, or lived alone? Starve? Obviously men have the capability of cooking their own meals, even if it is just opening a can of soup and adding some cut up carrots and celery. If a women can do it, a man can.

You lot are the ones who insist that there's no good reason for a man to ever need to know how to operate a stove, washing machine, or vaccuum cleaner or even where the cleaning supplies are kept.
Next you'll be telling me that Landover bachelors and widowers do their own laundry and scrub their own toilets and floors.
You can't even abide by your own gender role expectations.

Of course I don't think men should starve.
I think that people of both sexes should know how to cook a proper meal, how to launder their clothing, and how to clean.
I also think that people of both sexes should know how to change the oil, filters, light bulbs, and fuses in their vehicle, how to make basic home repairs, and how to operate a lawnmower and power tools.
No one should feel forced to marry in order to have someone else to do things for them - love is the only valid reason for marrying. And if you're not a complete, self-sufficient person before you marry, you really don't have much to offer a spouse anyway.

That is the dumbest thing I have heard all day. Jiffy Lube was made for women. I call the drive thru pretty self-sufficient, Ted's lawn green and feed lawn service self-sufficient, and I know how to work a few battery operated power tools. I say I have a lot to offer.
