Praise Jesus that Landover Baptist Church is not the only Godly church in America! It just so happens that Pastor Marc Grizzard is conducting a wonderful celebration just in time for Halloween: A good old-fashioned book-burning!

Pastor Marc Grizzard shows everyone that only true Bible is the King James Version. Everything else is Satanically-inspired to lead men away from the true Word of God(c)!

A Baptist Church near Asheville, N.C., is hosting a "Halloween book burning" to purge the area of "Satan's" works, which include all non-King James versions of the Bible, popular books by many religious authors and even country music.


The website for the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Canton, N.C., says there are "scriptural bases" for the book burning. The site quotes Acts 19:18-20: "And many that believed, came and confessed and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts, brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed."


Church leaders deem Good News for Modern Man, the Evidence Bible, the New International Version Bible, the Green Bible and the Message Bible, as well as at least seven other versions of the Bible as "Satan's Bibles," according to the website. Attendees will also set fire to "Satan's popular books" such as the work of "heretics" including the Pope, Mother Teresa, Billy Graham and Rick Warren.


"I believe the King James version is God's preserved, inspired, inerrant and infallible word of God," Pastor Marc Grizzard told a local news station of his 14-member parish.


Grizzard's parish website explains that the Bible is the "final authority concerning all matters of faith and practice," for Amazing Grace Baptist Church. In the Parish doctrinal statement, Grizzard expounds that "the Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning, and all issues of interpretation and meaning shall be determined by the preacher."


The event also seeks to destroy "Satan's music" which includes every genre from country,rap and rock to "soft and easy" and "Southern Gospel" and" contemporary Christian."


David Lynch, a resident of nearby Asheville, N.C., told Raw Story "it's a little disconcerting how close this is to my home."


"They are burning so much stuff I've dubbed them the hypocritical Christian Taliban," Lynch said in a phone interview with Raw Story. "Just the scope of all the information they want to destroy is pretty disturbing."


Church leaders did not respond to Raw Story's requests for comment, but the website notes they will be providing "bar-b-que chicken, fried chicken and all the sides" at the book burning.

Shout glory! I am so happy to see one last glimmer of hope in America (and True Hope, not the dark Obama version which is as real as those $9.99 Gucci bags you can get on the corner). This Godly pastor must have paid attention to our massive mailing campaign last year -- I am impressed that he is following our lead so very closely! The icing on the cake is the serving of BBQ and all the fixings, a head-nod to our very own Sister Thumper. Will any of our members be in attendance to make sure things go off without a hitch? If these Gospel novices are good at paying attention, they will arm each member with at least one semi-automatic rifle, with pistols for those too young to handle a real firearm.

I visited that church in 2008 when I went to Asheville to do some open air preaching at the Bele Chere festival. Pastor Grizzard delivered a fiery sermon and there wasn't a dry eye or unsaved soul in the house by the time he was done.

Prase Jesus! Satan doesn't stand a chance with Godly adversaries like us! Pastor Grizzard knows that burning books is a time-honored Christian tradition, and one that Landover Baptist takes pride in as well. Nothing rattles the devils cage like flaming copies of his favorite books!

Not to toot my own horn, but rather to try to lead by example: I've set up a "book drive at my laboratory here, to allow my students and fellow professors to donate to a worthy cause. In fact, we can support our brothers and sisters in this effort by donating not only heretical religious texts like the NIV version and Mother Theresa's how-to on domestic terrorism, but also by donating texts that directly throw "facts" in the face of Jesus. Here's some ideas for what you might find lying around town (assuming you're not in Freehold):

1. Harry Potter (this is just obvious)
2. Anything by Darwin (Origin of Species, Jesus: Man or Myth)
3. Any typed-up version of a bill passed by Obama
4. Any contemporary biology textbook. In fact, any contemporary textbook.
5. Color movies.

Use your imagination. Let's make the flames reach right up to heaven

I can tell you from experience them books on how to be a Mormon start a real nice bond fire.I used one last week for that very thing .One match and it was like I poured on 10 gallons of gas.I suspect Jesus helped with that inferno cause there sure was a nice breeze that helped fan the fire.

My shotgun with both barrels filled with ROCK SALT might have had something to do with them 2 fellers leaving me that book to use for kindling !!!

I need to burn some more stuff maybe I can find a couple of them mooslims to donate one of their books.What do they call them ,the book of Satan?

If they were Godly, they wouldn't need matches but would get the fire going the Elijah way.

1 Kings 18:38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

If that happens, then it's obvious we should do what Elijah did next, and have all the people who wrote those books killed.

If not, then they are just wasting their time. I mean, it's a noble cause, but if God doesn't start the fire, what does it prove?

Good point Brother V. But let us not be hasty and just assume that this church is entirely Saved(tm). We must be vigilant in these last days not to be led astray by that which pleases the eye, which that sexy slice of man-meat Mr. Gizzard certainly is. We must use our discernment, just as we do every day when deciding who will and will not be in Heaven with us when we drive to work. While this man may be doing the Right Thing(r), he may be doing it by sheer error. God can use even the most vile and evil person to do good things. Just because these people are doing a good deed by burning evil books, it may just be an accident, and they may still be hell-bound. In fact, I am sure that if we inspected their doctrinal statements we would find at least five things that indicate that they are not True Believers as we are.
