Dear Fellow Americans,

I recently moved to Freehold and I was advised to also join this Internet forum. I moved to Freehold to replace a fellow democrat in the city council who recently decided he wanted to move to a different country. I have not been able to reach him there, but I am sure he had his reasons.

I am looking forward to working with everyone in this great city and promise you I will work hard to make Freehold better than it has ever been before. My door is always open.

Yes that was funny . I noticed there are few black people in Freehold, so perhaps other people will make the same mistake. I don't mind that, I have a very thick skin.

As far as I know you're the only negro in Freehold that doesn't work for someone here. We have laundry help, maids, cooks, farmhands, and other negroes in our employ.

I've never heard of a Demoncrat on Freehold's City Council. Have we ever had one?

Yea, it was Bob Winfield. He was actually quite conservative on the surface. I took him out to a three-martini lunch last year and was surprised to learn he was a democrat. But, he had some pretty wild extremist ideas, like letting women keep suffrage or letting schools teach evolution along with creationism (instead of just creationism). I'm surprised he won, actually.

We'll have to see about that. We've never had one set foot in Freehold City Hall before, much less sit on the Council.

Yes of course. Unfortunately he left without leaving a way to contact him so I got very little information from him.

I think Freehold is ready for some real change. I am however aware that Freehold is not very change minded, so I am currently investigating how to best approach this.
