  • If the earth is flat...

If the earth is flat, then how do you explain this phenomenon: when a ship travels farther away from an observer, the ship seems to go down as it gets farther away from the observer. Christopher Columbus noticed this and this is how he knew the world is round.

When the earth was flat, the pagans sinned and GOD decided to drown them all. I will skip the story of Noah and cut to the chase. The LORD caused rain for forty days and forty nights. The pagans drowned. The earth filled with water like a sponge and became round.

Now I have to ban you. Goodbye.

      Yes yes! Poppycock!
How do you explain this fact: I once went to England from Rotterdam to Dover by boat. You can't see Dover from Rotterdam as well, so you claim that I would be drowned or something like that. How come I'm still alive and kicking here at home?

What part of "the earth became round" do you not understand? Jesus will drown you when He's good and ready, but for now He seems to feel that being Dutch is punishment enough.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

          I'm not Dutch..

'BECAME' round? Actually, it was round.
You know why the earth is, was and will always be round, well (please follow, PROOF!!):

The earth practises a sort of 'power' on matter. For example: if you let loose a glass of water, it will fall straight to the ground (don't take the wind in account) because of the earth's gravity. Do this trick and you will see I'm right. This so called gravity pulls the glass down and makes it fall. This force always goes to one point. The energy that the earth uses (I'm explaining it very simple) is what we call 'potential energy' and gives you an idea of how big this force is on a certain point. This potential energy is centrical. If you rub a balloon with a fleece sweater, you can pick up shreds of paper. It doesn't matter with which side you try to pick them up, the front, the back, the left or the right, because this 'potential energy' or 'force of attraction' is centrical. So far I've proved all my statements, haven't I? So I have proven that the earth is round, why? Pretend you could chose were the earth would be in the universe and you could built it up. You take one point where all the gravitational vectors (bigness (how big is the force?), line direction (on which imaginary line is that force?), direction (does it point to the left or to the right of that line?) and point of application (the point where the force grabes the matter, remember our glass of water) come together.
If you scatter some matter around the area of this point, this matter will come together in that point. The more matter you use, the bigger this point will become. And this point will be round because of the centrical force, which I proved with the balloon.

          In your face..

You've got nothing to do but to peddle these leftist-heliocentric ideas son? The reason you can't see Dover from Rotterdam is eyes aren't good enough from all the dope smoking and fornication with the professional ladies.

Maybe come and see for yourself...

I wanna bet you didn't even try to read my proof of the earth being round because you can't manage to give me response, can you?

Just ignore all the things people say, good job buddy..

I tried to read your proof of the earth being round, but I can't understand Dutch. Just look at this: "This potential energy is centrical." That sort of thing may be all the rage in Amsterdam or Ireland, but here in the Free World we prefer sentences that make sense.

Why do the Dutch always come here and spread their radical Dutch ideas about "tolerance" and "science" and "logic" and "Dutch pride?" I'm getting pretty sick of it. It just goes to show you that the Dutch will stop at nothing in pursuing their sinister Dutch Agenda.

                  Disgusting.

                    1) I'm not Dutch.
                    2) If you had read it well, you would've understood what I was saying due to the context it was in. But yeah, I have to admit, only people with brains do so..
                    3) Potential Energy = The energy made by forces of attraction (simplified of course...) Centrical is proper English, you know (I think I know the vocabulary of your language better then you do... And that does say something ) it means (in this context) 'heading for the centre'.

DUDE! Like I said, I'm not Dutch.
And I'm not the one from an imaginary city 'freetown', am I?

And science is international, it doesn't have anything to do with dutch pride or something like that...

What context? Widespread prostitution? The paintings of Rembrandt?

So you're claiming that the attraction between a scientist and a gay pubescent worm is capable of generating energy? Is this going to turn into another of your wacky socialist global warming conspiracy theories?

And Dutchman, in this context, means 'heading for the Lake of Fire." You'd better smarten up fast, boy.

                            Simply:
If you want to calculate the periphery of a circle, you need to multiply the radius of that circle with 2 and with 3,14 (rounded off)
Well, the earth has a radius of approximatly 6 378.
2.3,14.6 378km = 40054km, that's big! So it is ALMOST straight, because the angle is like almost 180°. And like I told you, the gravitational force forces us to go to the centre of the earth, not arround it...
