I know a great many of the members here are blissfully unaware of this "thing" called the Eurovision Song Contest (since you live in the USA where anything of the sort would be banned.) You are lucky. Unfortunately, if you continue reading, you will find that it is a filth fest masquerading as a music competition.

Finnish satanists "Lordi" WON this thing one year!!!

I came across this sham a few years ago (it has been going on for like 30 years!), when I first arrived in Northern Europe to do my missionary work. All the newspapers and magazines were filled with pictures of leather boys and harlots. I assumed there was going to be one of those queer parades that they have in New York - but no, this was for a television contest (broadcast all over Europe) where "bands" compete with one another to win money.

The way it works is that every country in Europe (and even Israel!!!) sends a "band" to the contest. They sing their song about pre-marital sex and drugs (in poor broken English), and then people call a phone number and vote on the song they think was the best. Sound stupid? Sound retarded? Yes it is. But you have no idea how hugely popular this faggot nonsense is here. It is HUGE!

That troll there in the middle is actually a "woman".

Anyways, this sinful debauchery is on again next weekend. (How do I know? I am currently in Stockholm for some meetings and the people here cannot talk of anything else. We just killed the number one terrorist in the universe and the papers here are focused on some prancing tart fellow who last year sang a song called "Manboy".) So, once again a bunch of sinning homos and Eurotrash can gather around to watch a bunch of fornicating dykes and quizmos dance around in their underpants and then PAY to vote on which one is the best role model for their children. (Eye roll...) Try to imagine that happening in middle America!

Seriously friends, the amount of disregard and disrespect for what the Lord tells us is just unthinkable in this "contest". Not surprisingly the homers LAP IT UP! They love it! It's like a drug to them. They even have their own word for the awful music they sing in the contest. It's called "shlagger" or something. No doubt a German word meaning "spanking" or similar. It is actually hard to describe just how dirty this thing is if you haven't seen it before.

It should be a priority, for any Christian, to try and have this sin laden event cancelled for good. Don't Europeans care about their children at all!!!

Just look at the crowds... all those unsaved souls listening to him and watching him dance. And they actually pay alot of money to be there, around $300, and to vote it costs abot $1.50. And two of the songs this year in the Sweden are called "Oh My God", clearly using Gods name in vain!

I must admit that I watch it though. My father say that it's a good way to learn what homers, whores, trannys and sinners look like. Also it's pretty much the only thing on the tv.

The above are the Finnish satanists I mentioned earlier. Their "song" is even called "Hard Rock Hallelujah" in some mockery to Christianity.

How can they put that type of thing on television? Why not just show a bear eating small children while you're at it...

A few years ago a group were in this competition that I believe committed blasphemy. They took took the aramaic word for father as their group name. The word that Jesus himself would have used when referring to God. That word was Abba.

I received an infraction from Pastor Ezekiel "Going yappity yap yap yappity" pretty much immediately after posting my previous comment. As I could not find a way to answer to him directly, I will write an answer here. I was kind of making a point with my comment. There is no less homosexuals, transsexuals or other "deviants" in the Eurovision contest than in American idol, unless you only see what you want to see. Many americans watch american idol and it's pretty obvious that Adam Lambert is an homosexual. He has been photographed with a known Finnish homosexual Sauli Koskinen several times. The original poster clearly does not have any idea what he is talking about. I'm a Finn and I KNOW there is nothing satanistic about Lordi, they just have costumes that seem to scare some people. Also the OP calls a big group of Europeans "Eurotrash" that doesn't sound very Christian to me, a fellow believer. Also saying that most Europeans use "poor broken English" is kind of offending to me. Of course it's not perfect, it's not our native language. Neither I understand the comment about Osama bin Laden. Yes, he executed an horrible plan that killed a lot of innocent people, but the attack was against America because that was the nation he felt that had wronged him. America is part of the world, not the world. We do not for example have celebrations in the rest of the world on the independence day of America.

I don't understand why my picture of confirmed American homosexual singer gets censored but pictures of alleged European homosexual singers/confirmed transsexual singer do not. Feels kind of a double standard to me.

I came to this forum because I received an link here because of the evident ignorance the OP of this thread has about Europe. I was kind of surprised to find this kind of comments on a Christian forum and wanted to comment on those. I was soon notified that, even that I am a fellow Christian, I am not welcome here. I quote "One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome." My church welcomes all and is based on loving your neighbor, so this is a huge surprise to me. If you want to make such evil statements of other people but don't allow them to comment back so why keep this forum open for eveyone?
