So am I to come to understanding that in the modern times you would tell a rape victim to marry their rapist?

What kind of a message are you Christians trying to spew forth? So would you tell that to a child to marry their pedophile? I mean the child now is damaged goods, she can't be a true Christian and marry a True Christian husband.

Do you want to have children marriages on TV? How about we make a show of children marrying their sexual abusers.

What about senior citizens that get attacked in their homes and also get sexually assaulted? You want them marrying their attackers, their rapists?

Ooo I know lets combine the two and make a reality tv show. Let us make women who were brutally assaulted by their stalker, their rapist and get married to them. Let it unfold to show how disgusting you all are to think you are True Christians.

This is just as bad as the West Boro Baptist Church. Sure you have the freedom to spew hatred and tell people they are going to hell but in the end all you are doing is pushing people away from religion.

You have the audacity to judge those who get raped and yet I bet none of you have been in that position. Prayer won't help you, when your abuser is holding your hands down and pinning your body to the ground while he has your way with you. As for the way women dress, its none of your business. However you say a woman shouldn't dress that way when no one follows the rule about wearing two different fabrics. God, the Father, gave these civil rules (also the ceremonial) to His chosen tribe the Jews a long while ago.

It was ment for that time, not for ours. The moral rules (the ten commandments) still stand, Jesus fulfilled them by keeping them all, and die for our mistakes according to that law.

Most have very logical explanations to it. For example the commandment not to eat pig. It was a very hot country and they didn't have fridges yet.
They could get sick of it.
Just like the one He says women in there period are unclean and not pure.
Blood is what transfers diseases; and so it was kinda dangerous business.
Now a day, we still must be careful but we are for more developed.

Jesus actually gets angry at the people (the scribes of the Jews) when they come with old rules, habits and putting them above the moral ones.

I can't tell it enough; Jesus said most important commandments are Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.

And that is why I love you, despite what you think or say.
I will pray for you that you may find God.
For who He really is, not for what others say He is.
He wants to know you personal!
And He will never force you to such things as marry your pedophile or such..

Btw, marriage is not a punishment!
It is great! And made by God, He made it for us to be happy.
It is great privilege.
He even used it as a comparison for Him as groom and us, the people who love Him, as His bride.

Where is this in the BIBLE? Where does Jesus tell "Now it is time to finish obeying these rules, but THESE rules you still have to obey"

Why are you so afraid of actually reading the Bible? Are you worried that your imaginary idea of who Jesus is, is based on a false belief?

Males do not lose anything with their virginity as females do, so the father of the "rapee" suffers no loss worthy of recompense. No blood, no foul, right?

Likewise, the relative age issue is a non-starter in the sin department. The concept of statutory rape just isn't in the Bible.

But, she was married to another man at the time, and in that case we can look to Deuteronomy 22:22 for Guidance™:

Deuteronomy 22:22 "If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel."

So God wants them both dead.

This is my opinion on the matter. Even though this passage says the rape of woman is ok, we must remember that bible also tells us to follow the law of the land. According to the law right now rape is illegal so trying to be ok is also going against the word of the Holy Lord himself. We must read and study the bible more then we should. How can we mortals possibly try to understand the divine words and wisdom of the lord.
