No. we have turned the Devil's tools against him. Most people use cars, phones and computers for worldly pleasures as the Lord of The Flies planned.

There is nothing "pagan" about science. Pagan's believed all sorts of things about the elements being fire, water, air and earth, which science recognizes as false. Science moves away from tradition, to explore new truth's about God's mystery. Pagans just believe in different Gods, with different rituals and beliefs.

Hey dude, as a physics boffin I am all for encouraging the study of the world. But, have you actually looked through this forum properly?

I can see where these guys are coming from. I don't agree with a damned thing that they are saying (mainly because they are fruit loops), but look at it from their perspective. They are so fundamentally into their god and steadfastly sticking to the bible that no matter what you put out there, the answer will always be 'god did it'.

Look at Newton's Laws of motion. No doubt at some point the reply will come that things were moving well before Newton 'discovered' the laws of motion... They are god's laws of motion and that satan worshipping homer Newton just put his name to gods work, blah blah blah.

Also, god made the light.... and they will quote genesis 1:3 (I much prefer Genesis: Invisible Touch but each to their own). And you might even get some crap about science not really knowing about light, hence the wave-particle duality...

What's wrong with science and rational thinking? Shouldn't we want to learn about the mysteries of God's creation?

I think that through learning about the way the world works, we can further appreciate it's complexity. I mean, studying photosynthesis, quantum mechanics or Newton's Laws of Motion can't possibly be harmful, it's just revealing the wonders that God has given us.

After all, if it weren't for the understanding of photon refraction and electrical current, we wouldn't have the computers we are using to read this!
