Proverbs 13:24 is one of my favorite bible verses because it reminds me that when my father beats me he is doing it for my own good. I also like it because it shows us a good form of punishment when children sin. I enjoy this verse also because I will be having children soon, an they will know how to behave unlike these bratty children that are given "time-outs" time out is the stupidest idea ever. Man I just did some bad stuff I need to take a break so I can think of more bad stuff to do. When a child is being chastened they don't think that think "If hell is somehow worse then this I better straighten up". YiC

Re: Proverbs 13:24!
Indeed and in Proverbs 23:13-14 and Proverbs 29:15 the Bible clarifies what happens to children who are not beaten to near death with a rod: eternal damnation to Hell!
Gay Nazi liberals (the kind of people who voted for Obama) often falsely claim beating children until they stop moving is child abuse, but we all know the real child abuse is parents who refuse to properly beat their children and doom them to Hell!
And if the child hits back, even if it is just once, God clearly commands us to beat the child to death (Exodus 21:15). I cannot wait for a True Christian™ president making the Bible the only law, so we can start practicing education the way God intended.5 Reasons why GOD HATES WOMEN!
- Protect your family the Christian way! Get your daughter raped!
- Only Sluts Get Raped! (1st Timothy 2:9)
- Down syndrome is a lifestyle choice!
James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
