John chapter 15 verses 13-14
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

Re: Things that the Bible doesn't say

Possession by devils all-and-sundry is established across many continents: all of Asia, much of Africa, perhaps the vilest in South America: crystals, shrunken heads for their spirit energy whatever that is I strongly vomit when I hear their anti-Christ words. Jesus came to set us free from all that and I'm happy to welcome you, to contribute to the discussion.

The Bible doesn't forbid iconography, quite the contrary. And if you really think so, I guess you chose the wrong religion. Try Islam.

This is why we worry about your soul, Farther Rovagnati. Perhaps your Catholic seminary did not teach the lesson of an angry Moses destroying the golden calf. Pictures and symbols need to be regulated and monitored by someone with credential for that kind of thing. You Catholics have no one comparable to Pastor Zeke for that task.Originally posted by Romeo Rovagnati View PostThe Bible doesn't forbid iconography, quite the contrary. Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Father Rovagnati--That kind of thinking reflects, and I'm trying to be tactful here, a little too much of the communion wine left over from last Sunday. True ChristianityTM knows a sin is a sin. If one of our members at Landover Baptist tried to put a statue of Mary on the pulpit riser it would come down immediately.Originally posted by Romeo Rovagnati View Post

But a statue of Mary is not idolatry, as she is the Mother of God.Originally posted by Johny Joe Hold View Post

Isaiah 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
