I have found several verses in the bible that i would like to share with yall. I assure you that these verses are legitimate and are God's teachings.
In Galatians 5:20 hatred is described as being a part of sinful nature and further on in the scripture in verse 23 it is proclaimed that "those who live like this will not inherit the Kingdom of God."
Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, and SELF CONTROL.
In Galatians 5:14 we are told "the entire law is summed up in a single command: "love your neighbor as yourself.""
I was just curious as to why you all believe in such a hateful God when we are told to love and NOT to hate so close together in one chapter of one book. It is stated here that to hate is to be part of "sinful nature." Our God is pure and without sin. For God to hate would make him sinful and therefore NOT God. I would like to be so bold as to say that God does not hate anyone nor anything but loves all. For him to preach a message of love for all to see and then express hate and unruley (spelling???
) judgement i think would be both contridictory and hypocratic.
If you have any scripture that uses hate in the literal sense of the word as to say "I hate broccoli" please post the example on this thread. However in most cases in the Bible hate is used to show a certain physical moral and personal dettachment from an object such as in Luke 14:26 where Jesus says, "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Jesus does not speak to them and tell them to literally hate and despise there mother, father, sister, etc. He instead declares them to detach (spelling again????
) from them as to put their full focus and His word and spreading it.
Just a thought...
Sincerely,
Zack Bowers
