Just to ask a few questions.

Alright, I'm by no means trying to stir up the hornet's nest, I'm merely asking questions and they're by no means meant to be offensive. If this thread is in the wrong section, I apologize. I've recently picked up the Methodist faith, and I honestly enjoy how they teach the Bible. The church I go to reads straight from the Bible, and lightly discusses it while leaving those that listen to choose what they feel for themselves, how they interpret it personally. I honestly believe in a universal church, made up of all the Christian faiths, and I've heard of churches (particularly the Church of Christ, no offense to anyone) that will down other sects of Christianity constantly. Is this warranted? However, I digress. My main reason I made this thread was to discuss the differences in how I believe and how you all believe. I'm by NO means saying one is right and the other is wrong, I'd just like to discuss a few talking points, "compare and contrast", if you will. Personally, I'm a very patient person. I'm in love with the most wonderful woman in the world but she's an aethiest. I've asked her to pray with me but I ask rarely because I don't want to push it on her. I love her for who she is, and I pray for her every night to come around. I honestly feel that patience and tolerance for these things is needed, to leave the option there and the door open if a person would like to learn the good way, but if not, that's fine by me too. I refrain from judging the weight of another man's soul for the fact that no one knows what he or she is thinking or what he or she does behind closed doors, except God. What are your opinions on this? Again, I'm by no means trying to piss anyone off, I'm just providing a few talking points to discuss it. This isn't a debate, I just want opinions. How about music? The term "devil's music" is relative, and the Blues proved that. I'm an avid Marilyn Manson fan because I respect his art, even though alot of people don't understand the context it should be taken in. What do you define as "Devil Music"? One last thing. I suppose I'm pretty tolerant when it comes to other peoples' religions and how they believe, but despite what the Bible says, I just don't think it's right to cast them out as people, not until we're all long dead and walking side by side with the Lord. This is one thing that kept me out of orthodox Christianity for so long, it really bothered me how people act when it comes to "non believers". I honestly feel that no man is better than the other, despite being saved or not because we all sin, even if we don't like to admit it to others. We are all guilty of sinning, even if you've been saved. Why would you throw nice, reasonable people out on the street for how they view the world? I just don't understand why some Christians continue to cast people out when, in my opinion, it isn't our place as people. I read on this forum somewhere in one of the sticky threads that Jesus, God, and the saved will look down on those in Hell and laugh at them. In my opinion, God judges, he doesn't laugh. God IS the definition of "love", and I just couldn't see any parent laughing at one of his children for the mistakes that he or she has made, regardless of how ignorant or arrogant the mistake may be. I've yet to be baptized, even though I'm in the process of getting there, but I lay my head down at night knowing that I've asked God for forgiveness and that I do the best I can to the world, to the best of my ability. I try my absolute best to not break the Ten Commandments (even though I'm still working on the habit of taking His name in vain), and at the end of the day, that's all anyone can do. That's my definition of being saved and getting into Heaven. Anyway.. Please don't take this wrong. I'm not looking for a fight, or to be banned. I'm just wanting to discuss the topic at hand.

What I see now is a gigantic blob of text that's just a pain on my eyes. I'm not going to read any of it.

What you should do is split up your post in multiple paragraphs and then make sure the subject of each paragraph is obvious from the first sentence. That will make your post so much more inviting to read.

Also, reading the stickies in this forum have both turned my stomach and brought me to tears at some of this church's views. Please delete my account, this will be the last time I ever post here. To say a woman must marry a rapist is illogical and just downright disgusting. Rapists and child molesters are disgusting people that ruin lives and they just don't rape one woman. They rape, and usually murder, more than one woman. I find your views disgusting and twisted. I'll be praying for you all tonight, hoping that you all will realize God's true word.

I would challenge you to explain how we are Scripturally incorrect. Anyone who reads the Bible often as you do should be able to explain how if we aren't.

Allow me to enlighten you: Deuteronomy 22:28-29 "If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days."
